March of Giants (MoG) is the new MOBA game in development by Amazon Games Montreal, the Canadian development studio of Amazon’s Gaming division. A game that presents itself as a F2P MOBA with strategic 4v4 combat, introducing an interesting mechanic where we’ll play as a Giant Hero.

March of Giants: Amazon Games’ New MOBA Unveiled
With a surprise announcement on 27 August 2025, the Amazon Games team reveals March of Giants for the first time. A new Free-to-Play MOBA in development by the Amazon Games Montreal team, featuring strategic 4v4-style combat where we’ll play as Giant commanders.
Accompanied by the announcement video, the project has been in development for 5 years, and Creative Director Xavier Marquis talks to us about the game’s development, as well as the vision for MoG as a new ambitious competitive MOBA title. It features a strong style inspired by World War I, where the use of Giants adds a dynamic and fantasy aspect.
March of Giants: What We Know About the Game and How to Join the Playtest
The Amazon Games MOBA therefore aims to bring a new ambitious formula to the genre. Bringing the atmosphere and a type of conflict between trenches and terrain changes typical of World War I. The abilities and powers of the Giants will allow players to breach enemy defenses. Where the positioning of towers, defenses, and troops will lead to a strong strategic element.
The team invites us to participate in the September Playtest. This Closed Alpha will be held from 2 September to 10 September 2025 at 1:00 PM ET | 10:00 AM PT. To join, you simply need to request access from the Steam page. But unfortunately, this Closed Alpha is only available to users in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

March of Giants seems, on paper, like an ambitious MOBA with some certainly interesting content. Particularly the role that the Heroes/Giants will have on a miniature battlefield.
