Hytale modding hits a new high as a creative mod runs Windows 95 entirely in-game, showing just how flexible the game’s tools have become.

 

Everyone who thought that the expected one million players at launch was an overestimate can now admit they were wrong. And it is not just because of the hype surrounding Hytale. At its core, the game is genuinely fun to play but then you put modding into the mix, then it’s an absolute blast and everyone can see it now.

In fact, one might wonder if the early mods (yes, even before launch), played a role in the 2.8 million concurrent players Hytale reached on launch day. A New Hytale Mod Runs Windows 95 In-Game

Hytale, the so-called Minecraft killer, has been making headlines after headlines even before its launch on January 13th. Now, Hytale modding has reached a new peak. A new mod created by iamcxv711 has surfaced, running Windows 95 in-game. Yes, an entire OS functioning within Hytale itself. While this mod does not necessarily make the game better in a traditional sense, it earns massive points for creativity. Plus, it’s hilarious.

This is not the first time iamcxv711 has pulled off something like this either. The same modder was also responsible for a Doom mod and the Bad Apple mod mentioned earlier, plus another one showing Minecraft Classic.
