It’s more bad news for Homeworld fans, as Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing has announced yet again that Homeworld 3 is delayed, this time until May 13 with the devs making “the final tweaks needed” before release.
It’s a massive blow to fans of the space RTS series after Homeworld 3 was delayed back in early 2023 with Blackbird Interactive stating back then they were delaying to “deliver a Homeworld experience that lives up to the standards set by its predecessors.”
The decision to delay has followed the release of the Homeworld 3 demo during Steam Next Fest, which is live through February 12, with thousands of players flooding into the game and offering “insights and perspectives” that the devs hope to incorporate to make the best possible Homeworld 3 experience.
The delay is a disappointment, but you can still play the space strategy game and get advanced access. As mentioned, the Homeworld 3 – War Games Demo is available to download and play, you can test the game’s current state as it is. You can also pre-order it to get early access from May 10.
Homeworld 3 will now release on May 13 on PC and you can check out all the details of its different editions, including the Homeworld 3 Collector’s Edition on Allkeyshop.
