GTA 6 is on Track for November Release with Lead Up Starting this Summer

Take-Two confirms GTA 6 is still on schedule for November 19, 2026, with Rockstar’s marketing campaign set to begin this summer.

GTA 6 is easily the most anticipated game of the year which is why every release-date headline puts fans on edge. But then who’d blame them, there’s been a couple of delays already.

However now it looks like 2026 really is the year. Take Two Interactive shared that they are confident to make the November 19, 2026 release date, with marketing set to begin this summer.

 

GTA 6 Kicks Off Marketing this Summer

Fans have had a loooong time waiting for GTA’s next entry. GTA 6 was originally slated for a Fall 2025 release, later pushed to May 2026, and most recently moved to November 19, 2026. Because it is such a big game with high expectations, fans understand why Rockstar kept moving the launch.

Rumors have suggested that core content is largely complete, with the additional time being used for polishing. There’s so much anticipation around the game that everyone wants it to do good when it launches.

At the end of 2025, there were speculations that the game might have another delay. But all that is put to rest now as during a quarterly earnings call today, Take Two Interactive reaffirmed to fans that GTA 6 is still on track for the November release.

   

According to IGN, Rockstar’s marketing for GTA 6 will start in summer, as a lead up to its November launch. It was also shared that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “I feel good about it. Very good about it” when asked about the release date.

“We feel great about it. You know me pretty well, for me to even say we’ve got marketing beats coming this summer, is a huge departure from what I usually say, which is that our labels will make marketing announcements”

Zelnick also addressed speculation around potential delays to physical copies of the game. Some believed that Take-Two might stagger physical releases to prevent early leaks. To which he said, “That’s not the plan.”

So with the marketing set to start in a few months plus confirmation of the physical release this year, GTA 6 is most likely NOT having any more delays.
