Records and Global Diversity – 11% More Exhibitors and 60+ Countries
This year, gamescom will be bigger than ever before. Last year already saw multiple records broken — including in exhibitor count and international participation. Now, 11% more exhibitors than in 2024 have already signed up, with more expected. International presence is equally impressive: Exhibitors from over 60 countries will attend.
For the first time, gamescom has a partner country from Southeast Asia — Thailand. Thailand will also have its own dedicated pavilion. This cooperation is part of a broader international strategy by the organizers. The connection between gamescom asia and the Thailand Game Show highlights Thailand’s growing role in the global gaming industry.
Exhibitor Showcase – Big Names and Newcomers
This year’s gamescom will host many major and renowned exhibitors showing off their latest games. Venue Upgrades – Hall Expansions & Digital Navigation
To accommodate high demand and the growing number of exhibitors, gamescom had to adjust its layout. The entertainment area will now include Hall 8, providing more space for exhibitors. The Indie Area is also expanding significantly, now taking up half of Hall 10.2.
To help visitors navigate the venue, a new digital navigation tool is available at gamescom.global. It provides real-time info on your current location, favorited exhibitors, hall layouts, entrances, exits, and other essential details.
Event Arena in Hall 1 – Premieres, Music & Esports
This year, the Event Arena is moving to Hall 1, which offers improved technical capabilities for smoother events. On August 19, the gamescom Opening Night Live will take place here — streamed live and open to ticket holders. Geoff Keighley will host a spectacular show full of new game reveals, trailers, gameplay showcases, and celebrity guests. The Opening Night runs from 8 PM to 10 PM.
This year also features two major esports events at gamescom:
- Techniker Prime League Offline Finals (August 24)
- Fortnite Creator Championship (August 22)
Additionally, the gamescom LAN returns, co-hosted by content creators Amar and Rohat.
To mark the 10-year anniversary of The Witcher 3, a special “The Witcher in Concert” will be held on August 20. Tickets for this concert must be purchased separately via the official site. Other highlights include a joint show by Wargaming and metal band Sabaton and creative formats featured on the gamescom Social Stage.
