Frosthaven Early Access Release Date Finally Confirmed – Here’s What to Expect
The team at Snapshot Games Inc. and Arc Games just announced the release date for Frosthaven, the digital version of the famous board game, which is set to debut in Early Access this month. Let’s find out more about it together!

Frosthaven is the famous board game by Cephalofair, as well as the inspired sequel to Gloomhaven. The Cephalofair team decided to entrust the production of Frosthaven: Digital to the publisher Arc Games and the team at Snapshot Games Inc. This follows the huge success of Gloomhaven: Digital, which came out in October 2021.
This new campaign offers a digital adaptation with a tactical fantasy RPG experience set in the northern frontier. It provides an ideal adventure for both board game veterans and newcomers, scheduled for release in 2025 in Early Access. Frosthaven: Early Access Date Confirmed
Following the Frosthaven reveal on 20 March 2025, Snapshot Games Inc. and Arc Games are finally bringing new updates. On 15 July 2025, they announced the release date for the video game adaptation of the board game. This spiritual successor to Gloomhaven will debut in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 31 July 2025.
The announcement came with an Official Trailer that shows off the new tactical RPG adventure. With new character classes to choose from and plenty of enemies to face, where every move will be crucial to winning. It takes us to the enchanting northern frontier, where we’ll build our own outpost and can even play in co-op.
Frosthaven: What the Early Access Offers
With the release date announcement, the Snapshot Games team also revealed what kind of experience awaits players in Frosthaven. The Early Access version will offer:
- Characters: 8 different characters, each with their own playstyle. 6 are available from the start, and 2 more can be unlocked.
- Missions and Choices: 40 tactical missions available, including a tutorial. With a whopping 100 events available depending on the choices you make.
- Game Modes: The Early Access is complete with Single Player and co-op Multiplayer Mode with GeForce Now support. Plus, the building of the Outpost, which will unlock new features for your adventure.
An Early Access that the team confirms offers at least a third of the content planned for the 1.0 version. With periodic updates about every 3 months. And for the latest news, the team also confirms a special bundle with Gloomhaven. As well as their in-person participation at Gen Con 2025. The event dedicated to the world of board games at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, USA, from 31 July to 3 August.
