Foundry Early Access

Get ready to practice your engineering skills with the newest factory automation game. Foundry is soon releasing on Early Access for PC via Steam on May 3, 2024.

The game’s core gameplay includes exploration, automation, and base-building. Play it alone or with friends as the game supports multiplayer of up to 4 players.



As it constantly gained momentum towards its early access release, there was also some hesitation among the community. According to early players, the game is good but it can be dull as it does not really have a competitive goal. Whether the devs listened to it and added a few campaigns or objectives, we’ll have to wait for the next stream or dev vlog if it is in fact going to be included on the 3rd.

Based on the early access trailer though, it seems like there is more content now and a lot more after Foundry early access release.

Will Foundry have a console release?

Although the game will be released on PC only, the idea of a console version is not completely out. According to the team, they are launching on PC “for now”. If the console does make it to the finish line, we suspect it will be the same time as Foundry’s full release.




Where to play Foundry for Free?

Foundry is not launching on Game Pass so the only way to play it for free is through its demo. But since the Steam Next Fest in October 2023, which the game participated in, a new demo has not been released. According to the devs, there are also no plans of releasing one in the foreseeable future. At this point, let’s just hope PC Game Pass picks it up!
