Forza Horizon 6 was officially revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 during the Xbox Game Studios Showcase. It wasn’t at all a surprise since many leaks pointed to this but having to get proper confirmation was still surreal.
Forza Horizon 6 Announced for 2026
Japan, here we come! For the first time, Forza Horizon is heading to the streets of Japan for some high-octane racing. The reveal trailer didn’t show much beyond confirming a 2026 release, but it did highlight two of the country’s most iconic sights: cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji.
Just imagining cruising through those settings feels like a treat, and we all know it’s going to be much more. Expect dynamic seasons across different regions and, of course, races through neon-lit city streets. If Fast & Furious had Tokyo Drift, Forza Horizon will deliver its own version.
According to art director Don Arceta, Japan has always been a dream setting for the series, not just because of its scenic landscapes, but also its thriving street car culture. The studio is working with experts both locally and internationally to ensure an authentic experience. We’ve already seen hints of this collaboration, like the viral leak from Australian import company Cult & Classic taking photos of a Kei car and tagging Forza Horizon’s official account.
No specific launch window within 2026 has been given yet, nor confirmed platforms, but that’s okay, we can wait. The important thing is that it’s finally real.
