A leaked in-game ad suggests Forza Horizon 6 will finally take the festival to Japan in May 2026 

A massive leak has reportedly revealed Forza Horizon 6 days before its expected reveal at the Xbox Developer_Direct. Players in Forza Horizon 5 claim to have spotted a fully detailed pre-order advertisement in their game menus, complete with release dates, car counts, and the long-awaited Japan setting.

FH6 Leaked Release Date: May 19, 2026

The in-game splash screen, first flagged by Saudi outlet XBOX INFINITE, lists a global release date of May 19, 2026. This places the launch squarely in the pre-summer window, avoiding the crowded holiday season.

The leak also confirms a standard “Early Access” period. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will reportedly start their engines four days early, on May 15, 2026.

This timeline aligns with industry rumors that Playground Games has been quietly preparing its biggest open-world map yet.

 

Forza Horizon 6 Japan Setting & Content

The advertisement explicitly promises the “breath-taking landscapes of Japan,” confirming the most requested location in the franchise’s history. It also boasts a garage of over 550 cars at launch.

According to the leak, the Premium Edition is packed with content designed to lock in pre-orders immediately:

  • Exclusive Car: Ferrari J50 (Pre-tuned).
  • Post-Launch Packs: “Italian Passion” and “Time Attack” Car Packs.
  • Expansions: Two future Premium Expansions.
  • Standard Perks: VIP Membership, Welcome Pack, and Car Pass.

The inclusion of an “Italian Passion” pack post-launch suggests that while the base game focuses on Japanese car culture (JDM), European supercars will remain a paid priority.

 

Verdict: Is the Forza Horizon 6 Leak Real?

This doesn’t appear to be a simple graphical glitch. German YouTuber ZOQQER reported that his version of Forza Horizon 5 received a forced update that differed from the public build.

ZOQQER claims this update temporarily disabled online features but enabled the Forza Horizon 6 store page. This anomaly suggests Microsoft may be testing marketing assets on specific user profiles or “influencer” accounts, and the toggle was flipped too early.

With the Xbox Developer_Direct scheduled for January 22, we won’t have to wait long to see if this “accident” was actually a perfectly timed hype machine.
