Elden Ring Nightreign version 1.03.2 brings major buffs to the Executor class

From Software just dropped Patch 1.03.2 for Elden Ring Nightreign across all platforms. If you main the Executor or Revenant classes, your build just got significantly stronger.

However, players relying on the Scholar “pot spam” strategy are in for a rude awakening. Here is everything you need to know about the new meta shifts.

The Big Nightreign Meta Shakeup

Bandai Namco isn’t just fixing bugs with this update. They are actively reshaping the combat ecosystem established in The Forsaken Hollows DLC.

The primary focus is viability. Classes that struggled in “Deep of Night” mode, specifically the Revenant, received scaling adjustments that make them endgame competitors.

Meanwhile, the Executor class moves from a niche pick to a frontline powerhouse. The developers clearly want players engaging in melee combat rather than cheesing encounters from a distance.

Elden Ring Executor: The Patch Winner

The Executor class eats the best in version 1.03.2. Nearly every aspect of the “Cursed Sword” skill received a buff.

Key Executor Changes:

  • Critical Hits: Damage output is significantly higher while Cursed Sword is active.
  • Stability: Guard Boost is increased, and you take less stamina damage on deflections.
  • Safety: You can no longer be guard-broken if you run out of stamina after a successful deflection.

This transforms the Executor into a parry-heavy tank that rewards aggressive, high-risk playstyles.

Nightreign Scholar Nerfs and Tweaks

The “Infinite Pot” build is officially dead. The patch notes confirm that Fire Pots and Throwing Knives now have a maximum purchase limit in shops.

If you relied on inventory spam to clear zones, you need to respec.

Other Notable Adjustments:

  • Raider: Faster attack speeds for Greataxes and Great Hammers. “Fighter’s Resolve” now boosts attack power when HP is critical.
  • Guardian: Better damage negation across the board.
  • Undertaker: Improved tracking on Hammer attacks against stationary targets.

Relic Updates in the Expansion

Relics received a massive pass to support these class changes. The “HP Recovery From Successful Guarding” effect is stronger, further incentivizing shield play.

For explorers, the “Blacksmith Village” and “Marsh” key locations now offer better rune rewards and higher drop rates for rare weapons. This makes revisiting these areas worth your time, especially in the shifting earth zones.

Verdict: Is the Update Good?

This is a healthy patch. It kills a passive playstyle (Scholar pot spam) and buffs active, skill-based combat (Executor/Raider). From Software is clearly listening to feedback regarding the Forsaken Hollows content gap.

The buffs to Revenant spirits in “Deep of Night” mode are the sleeper hit here. This might finally make summoner builds viable for high-tier expeditions.

Are you sticking with your Scholar build, or are you rolling an Executor tonight?
