Rounding out the leadership trio is Katsumi Suenami, known for her work as project manager on Bayonetta 3. She’s also stepping in as a company director. That’s a massive amount of high-speed action expertise concentrated in one single leadership team.

Despite the heavyweight leadership, early reports suggest Eel Game Studio is keeping things incredibly tight. Rumors point to a compact team of roughly 23 employees, with almost the entire staff sharing a background at PlatinumGames.

A smaller headcount often means less bureaucratic red tape and a sharper focus on core gameplay mechanics. Given their shared history, it’s a safe bet that whatever they’re building will feature incredibly tight, responsive combat.
