EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also gets early access to NHL 26 today. 10-hour Game Trial now live for subscribers

EA Sports NHL 26 will officially launch on September 12th but for those who purchased the Deluxe Edition, action on the ice starts today. But they’re not the only ones. Although not the full game, EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members also get to experience it as it enters Game Trials.

NHL 26 Game Trials Start Today

Just last month, Madden NFL 26 joined EA Play’s Game Trials and today, we got another one. NHL 26 won’t be released until the 12th but its trial period also gets early access.

If you have an active EA Play or Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can play the ultimate hockey sim video game for up to 10 hours for free! Being that the game is console-only, PC members will have to sit this one out. On top of that, older consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One will sit on the sidelines as well.

NHL 26 lets players experience hockey like never before with ICE-Q 2.0 powered by NHL EDGE data, making superstars move, think, and perform just like their real-life counterparts through authentic attributes and tendencies. The game features a revamped set of 28 X-Factors across five categories, each with unique animations and tactical outcomes that truly make star players stand out. Goalies also get a big upgrade with the new Crease Control System, adding smarter positioning, reflex saves, and reactive adjustments to deflections and poke checks. On top of that, the redesigned Be A Pro mode delivers a fresh career journey filled with impactful choices, storylines, and cutscenes as you rise from rookie to legend.
