Digimon Story Time Stranger: Demo Available Starting Today on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S!

Digimon Story Time Stranger (TS) is the new Digimon-themed RPG chapter from Bandai Namco, developed by Media.Vision. It’s a new chapter in the Digimon Story series, which started on the Nintendo DS back in 2006. This installment was officially announced in 2017 following the launch of Cyber Sleuth, and it also marks the series’ first debut on Xbox.

Time Stranger takes us on an adventure between the human world and the Digital World. You’ll follow a mystery through time and parallel worlds to change your destiny. The first trailer was revealed at the February State of Play, which also confirmed the release date. Digimon Story Time Stranger: Demo – Platforms and Times

After the first preview reviews for Digimon Story Time Stranger and a rumored Demo started circulating, Bandai Namco has made it official. Initially rumored for a reveal at Tokyo Game Show 2025 during the last weekend of September. But Bandai surprisingly confirmed that the Demo will be available on:

  • Steam: 10 September 2025 at 5:00 pm PDT and 8:00 pm EDT / 11 September at 12:00 am CEST
  • PS5 and Xbox Series X/S: 11 September 2025 at 12:00 am EDT / 12:00 am CEST

This will give us the chance to try out the game’s prologue. Playing as Dan or Kanan Yuuki, agents of the secret organization ADAMAS. They find themselves in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo, where they will meet Digimon for the first time. With a large scale explosion that will send them back into the past.

 

Digimon Story Time Stranger: What We Know So Far

Time Stranger is the new chapter in the Digimon Story series, coming more than 8 years after Cyber Sleuth. It also brings the series to the latest generation of Playstation consoles and marks the series’ debut on Xbox. The story will primarily take place between the Digital World and the districts of Akihabara and Shinjuku. It offers:

  • An Adventure to Save the Present: The arrival of Digimon in our world and an explosion will send you 8 years into the past. Take on an adventure between the digital and human worlds to prevent a catastrophe in the present.
  • Partner Digimon: You’ll have 3 Partners to accompany you on your adventure, none other than Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon.
  • A Dual World: Featuring the Digital World: Iliad, managed by the 12 Digimon of the Olympos XII. Meanwhile, the human world has fewer locations but with much more detail and content.

All of this is accompanied by over 450 Digimon to encounter and collect during your adventure. Your Digivice will allow you to obtain and even convert your Digimon into more powerful versions. There are also Various Skills of different elements and Equipment to pair with them.
