Diablo 4 Season 4 is coming in May and Blizzard is making significant changes that will switch up how you play the action RPG. Find out if Diablo 4 is now worth your time in this article.
Oh boy, Diablo 4 Season 4 is going to be huge, not just in terms of balance changes, bug fixes, and new content, but for Blizzard and the series as a whole as the action RPG appears to be the game we all expected and wanted it to be when it launched last year.
It’s safe to say that Diablo 4 has had a torrid time since its release. Critics and players have flooded it with poor reviews for its lack of endgame content, poor loot, and general subpar gameplay compared to previous games in the legendary series.
Blizzard Entertainment is looking to fix all that and more with Season 4, with changes that see Legendary item drops doubled, item levels increased, item rerolling costs capped, and more frequent and earlier Unique item drops.
Don’t worry – that’s not all. There’s a new crafting system, improved late-game crafting, more powerful affixes, a Codex of Power update to help with finding, rerolling, and acquiring Legendary powers, a revamped Helltide, and a new Accursed Ritual that will offer incredible rewards if you manage to destroy the powerful demonic threat of the Blood Maiden.
No, wait, there’s more! World 1 and 2 have been adjusted to help make Helltide events more fun and rewarding. There’s a new quest upon entering World Tier 4 that will take you to The Pit where you’ll have to survive a 10-minute timer against a horde of monsters to earn the right to face the boss. Kill the boss in time and you’ll earn Masterworking materials for crafting powerful and unique gear.
Diablo 4 Season 4 is going to be huge, and the changes Blizzard is making are an attempt not just to bring players back to the game but also to play to the community that has supported the series for decades.
Take the new Elixir changes, for instance. Every previous elixir has been replaced with newer versions, with just two tiers per elixir type that will help to de-clutter inventories. They’ve also been tweaked to offer improved bonus experience and greater resistance. Blizzard has also added two new elixirs that will help you move and kill monsters much quicker for those speed runs through dungeons.
Ultimately, whether you’re ready to go back to Diablo 4 with Season 4 is up to you. Season 4 adds plenty of new activities, improves the loot system, decreases the endgame grind, and gives you more control over your build, allowing you to play how you want and target items that will make significant changes to your stats.
