The legendary Kaiju has resurfaced in Dave the Diver! If you missed out when the Godzilla DLC first launched last year, now’s your second chance and it’s not one you’ll want to skip. This free content drop takes what’s already a standout game and somehow makes it even better. New quests, new dishes, and the king of monsters himself! The best part? It’s completely free again. But like last time, also only for a limited time.

Dave the Diver Godzilla Content Pack Free to Download Again

Dave the Diver is celebrating its second anniversary today, and to mark the occasion, the iconic Godzilla DLC has returned for a second free run. As part of the celebration, this content pack is available to download once more for free. But like the original release, it’s only around for a limited time. You’ll have until December 31, 2026, to grab it. Sure, that’s plenty of time but with content this good, why wait?

You can grab the free DLC on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Nintendo eShop. Once installed and after clearing Chapter 5,you’ll unlock access to the pack’s contents: three Godzilla-themed missions, dishes inspired by Godzilla and Ebirah, and collectible Kaiju figures hidden throughout the ocean. It’s a creative, action-packed, and totally fitting celebration of the game’s quirky charm and genre-bending style.

Dave the Diver Godzilla DLC Walkthrough

To get started with the Godzilla DLC questline, you’ll first need to complete a full in-game day and night cycle including your shift at Bancho’s Sushi. After closing up for the night, a cutscene is triggered where an enormous “earthquake” shakes the depths of the Blue Hole. The next day, you’re greeted by Miki aboard a submarine, who reveals that the quake was actually Godzilla retreating into the depths after a battle. Using her custom radar tech, she asks for your help in locating the Kaiju.

Dive back into the Blue Hole and head for the Sea People Village but you’ll have to pass through UV-sensitive Tube Worms which can be bypassed with either a looted UV light or the Sea People Necklace from your main quests.

As you approach the Godzilla cave, Dave will comment on sensing something nearby. Another cutscene follows as Miki guides you to the cave entrance, which you’ll need to blast open using underwater mines. Inside, you’ll discover Godzilla resting and begin setting up a camera for Miki to observe the healing process. After exiting and finishing another night at Bancho’s, Miki rushes in again, another mysterious force has been detected approaching Godzilla. This time, it’s Ebirah, and you’re tasked with piloting the submarine down to protect the King of Monsters. Dodge Ebirah’s deadly claws, survive the depths, and engage in a submarine battle using torpedoes and a machine gun.

Once Ebirah is wounded, Godzilla rises from the sea and you get to control the Kaiju directly in an epic final showdown. After defeating Ebirah once and for all, return to Bancho’s, where he’ll teach you exclusive Godzilla-inspired recipes to commemorate the battle.
