This is the first time I hear about the Super Robot Wars series, interesting concept of mechas in tactical, turn-based fights. The roster is impressive, with crossovers from multiple animes in the gundam/mecha genre. It's definitely not my style of game but if you enjoy grid-based combat, deep customization of units and some of the famous characters featured, this might just be the game for you.
A sort of ‘all-star’ fighting game by Bandai, featuring a mix of characters from several anime series (around twenty), but many of them linked to the Gundam universe, the excellent Code Geass – a must-see – Godzilla Singular Point, and others you may be familiar with. These mechas battle it out in a tactical RPG on grid-based maps, using various skills to fight. But the polished visuals and cutscenes will also delight anime fans. It's a single-player game, it looks great!
Super Robot Wars Y is like a dream come true by having all anime famous robots and pilots together in one single game. Combat is grid tactical but what makes the game shine is as I said that it has all the famous classic robots from our childhood with a perfect 80’s anime look, so in my opinion fun it is yes about winning the versus battles against foes and improving skills, but also about making memories. Great game and great idea

Featuring action-packed combat and eye-catching graphics, this title has a lot to offer. The only thing I wish was included is cooperative/multiplayer modes, as for now only single player mode was confirmed.
