About this game

Battle with the bravest and mightiest of the Northmen to lay claim to a newly discovered land filled with danger and riches.

• Play through the Story Mode and follow Rig’s Saga as he travels through the new continent of Northgard in search of the man who murdered his father.
• Choose from 6 unique clans, each with their own specific units, strategies, and advantages. 5 more clans are available as DLC.
• Build your settlement, assign jobs to your Vikings, manage your resources, go to war, and achieve victory through different conditions.
• Make your own maps with the Northgard Map Editor and share them with other players.

All in all, it has to be said that Northgard is an extremely promising premise. It has a good storyline with challenging campaigns. While there are some minor hiccups here and there, overall, it's an awesome addition to the RTS genre.

Northgard Svafnir, Clan of the Snake

The clan of the snake knows no honor, thus cannot win using the fame victory condition. the clan fights using guerilla tactics, they get bonus damage when attacking civilians, they can also hide among the wild wolves and the bears.

• Signy is their clan leader and is available at the start, she grows more powerful over time when she reaches adulthood she can use a special ability called scorched earth to burn resource tiles and boost her clan's warriors' attacking power.

Northgard Nidhogg, Clan of the Dragon

The most unique and alien of all the clans, the clan of the dragon own slaves known as thralls that require no housing but perform and consume 50% less than a normal villager. once you are done with them perform sacrificial rituals to appease the draconic gods and give your clan bonuses with more people you sacrifice.

Northgard Brundr & Kaelinn Clan of the Lynx

The clan of the lynx is the clan most attuned to nature, they can command the most powerful wild animals of Northgard to fight for them on their behalf, hunt down animals to gain hunting trophies to empower Brundr & Kaelinn the clan's lynx guardians.

• Mielikki the beastmaster is their unique clan leader although weak on her own she commands powerful lynx companions that fight with her.
