The execution and delivery whilst not matching the predecessor, still maintain the momentum whilst giving the main campaign memorable moments with the snapshots of narrative bringing the best and cutting the worst. Road to Boruto does this and more, easily rivaling Full Burst. A fitting end and purchase for fans of the franchise.

Road to Boruto tells a great story, drawing in the player to become emotionally attached to the next generation of heroes. The battles are generally entertaining and using characters I’ve never used before certainly helps to keep things fresh. That being said, the best battle on paper is a real let-down and the side quests can drag on a little.

If you’re new to fighting games or Naruto, this might not be the game for you. Being new to fighting games is already difficult as is, but then throw in a confusing storyline and you might not be enjoying yourself. If you’re a Naruto fan or have played one of the previous games I would suggest picking this one up.
