Aboard a cruise liner named Hope, you are expecting a relaxing vacation from the everyday life of the city. Your vacation is cut short as monsters from a different dimension started showing up and killing everyone on the ship.

The monstrosities were able to take over the ship and you are among the few survivors. You have to fight in order to live, but you cannot do it alone, you can try recruiting the help of other survivors that you pass by in the ship. You will need them if you would want to get out of the cruise ship alive.

Your resources are scarce, from your weapons, bandages, and other items. Another thing is that they do tend to deteriorate as well, so managing your resources should be one of your priorities.

There are four unlikely heroes to choose from and 20 decks of the cruise ship to traverse. Because of the situation, you must plan each battle 10 steps ahead so that you can make good use of your character’s action points.

You will surely die a lot, which is to be expected in Dread Nautical.
