Deceive Inc. will refresh this sort of games by adding new gameplay features.

12 players will spawn in the area with many NPC, and each one will have a task to do. Ultimately, you need to stay undetected while blowing the cover of other players and succesfully completing the mission.

The graphics and the style of Deceive Inc. suggest that it’s going to be pretty fun and full of action experience. And it costs so little, that it’s definitely worth its price!

Deceive Inc. is a sandbox stealth shooter where you compete against other players to complete an objective but only one can make it and get the paycheck in the end. The game has different spies to play as with unique weapons and skills and many tools to choose, from a bullet proof umbrella to a holographic clone or inflatable mats. You can disguise yourself as NPCs to deceive other players or access different areas of the map that’ll help in completing the objective without being detected.

Deceive Inc. is a multiplayer shooter game with graphics reminiscent of Fortnite and the like, and is best played as a team, although lone wolves may find it to their liking, especially for the infiltration and stealth aspect. On a map populated with NPCs, with a lot of hiding places, verticality and life, you play as a character who has a varied arsenal, gadgets and various tools. Some are quite original (inflatable mattress…). You can (must!) camouflage yourself as an NPC, choose stealth gameplay or play it tough. There is a strategic aspect that can be defined with your team. You can play as a spy, a rookie, a sniper… In short, Deceive offers a lot of possibilities, a variety of play styles, and something for everyone.

Playing with friends will increase the pleasure in this kind of game where strategy and communication can be undeniable assets. The price is relatively low, affordable, and it could be a good surprise for players fond of shooters and multiplayer games.

Deceive Inc. is a soon to be released PvP FPS shooter by Sweet Bandits Studios, and indie studio now under the publisher Tripwire. A game set in an alternative future, where Deceive Inc. has managed to get the monopoly on the espionage industry and we as a spy will have access to a pletora of a gadgets that will help us complete our mission, generally obtaining a blueprint hidden inside a vault. But we’re not alone, and other spies will interfere and try to steal it from us, in order to report it and get their paycheck!

The game is thus multiplayer focused with a solo mode or in co-op with up to 3 players team, will be pit against other players in the mission for obtaining the blueprint, hold the escape route and finally escaping alive the place with it.

While the objective is rather simple it’s a deceiving one, as we’ll have to blend ourselves with the npcs and try to be smart and sneaky without attracting attention, as you never know if the npc near your is a player or not. As the vault is secured by a gold level of security, we’ll start as a gray normal level of access, and start to obtain the higher level of access (blue, purple and then gold) in order to come closer to the objective while making sure to not attract attention and keeping an eye on enemy players.

It’s definitely possible to try to kill enemy players, especially when you notice them in disguise doing stuff a normal npc wouldn’t do (like standing in the same place for long, looting or interacting with stuff they don’t normally do) but that would also mean loosing your own disguise for about a minute or so, trying to fend off both enemy players and npc guards, before being able to go undercover again.

While the most steady way is to progress to obtain the blueprint is through obtaining the access levels, by looting and complete minor tasks, thus being able to spend the coins you’ll get for access levels and importantly upgrades and gadgets, it’s also possible to loot access levels (also steal them, with certain characters) from killing other players or to ambush the spy who obtained the blueprint before the escape.

With a pretty wide variety of spies to choose from, each with their own unique perks, skills and even gadgets, and the possibility to play in co-op with friends, Deceive Inc is a rather interesting game to try at affordable price at 19,99€ , and developers have received and is listening the feedback from the players in order to rebalance things, so that killing other players is viable but not abusable as the main objective is being a spy and not going killingspree.
