The world of Pywel is divided as the King of Demeniss lies in a comma. The king is the unifier of all lands, with him incapable at the moment you must step up and be the one to unify them all. Crimson Desert looks incredibly fun in terms of combat but also one of those games that might be too big for their own good. Embargo has been lifted and some reviews are out, those mostly downplay the story and the meaningless quests. That is a bit of disappointment for me but can't say I wasn't expecting it, all in all, I want to play this in the future but will probably get it on sale.
Crimson Desert is a stunning open-world epic that finally feels like a true next-gen evolution of the fantasy genre. The combat seems incredibly fluid, and the world of Pywell is one of the most detailed environments I've seen in years. It’s a must-play if you love gritty action-RPGs, especially since it manages to feel fresh while hitting the "Witcher meets Dragon's Dogma" vibes.
I've been waiting a long time for a game like this. The most important thing for me is the combat system—I'd like to be able to block with a shield, breathe fire as a dragon, and, above all, have a great story.
I'm not sure what to fully think of this game. The gameplay doesn't look bad most of the time. The gameplay on the horse in combat seems a little janky, though. I hope the game doesn't heavily rely on cinematic action gameplay. I'm interested though. discord: mccainiac
