I didn’t think I’d love Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag as much as I did, but it’s really hard to fault this game. It’s fun, it’s bright, it’s beautiful, it doesn’t take itself too seriously and its constantly changing mechanics keep it from being repetitive. It’s easy to see this game as superficial due to its graphics and light-hearted humour.

Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is a great action platformer. It has a perfect balance of combat and platforming puzzles. Switching between the 3 characters is a great gimmick, and it’s implemented beautifully. If you’re looking something to keep you busy on a Saturday morning, you could do much worse than this gorgeous adventure.

God is a Geek

Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is a fine title. It isn’t a very long experience, and it doesn’t feature multiple difficulties, but the balance between combat and puzzle-solving is well done, and it helps that both elements are quite good on their own. If you don’t mind the lack of multiplayer and you wanted an experience like the classic Trine offerings, give this one a spin.
