Endless Franchise Free Weekend Announced

If you’re dying to play an Endless game but not a hundred percent sure of making the purchase, the Endless Free Weekend will hopefully help you make up your mind. Starting today through Monday 10 AM Pacific, Endless Space 2, Endless Legend, Dungeon of the Endless, and Endless Space can be played for free. This is available through Steam, so if you don’t have Steam, get downloading right now. If you do decide to make the purchase you can get 10 to 90 percent discounts as well until Monday the 6th.


BioWare to Hold Anthem Panel at PAX

BioWare made the announcement that they will be holding a panel at PAX West in order to talk about Anthem, and they will be answering questions about the game. In particular, Bioware wants to address the concerns of fans about the story within the game as well as how it fits with BioWare’s reputation. The GM at BioWare, Casey Hudson, wrote that they will also be doing this for their other projects like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. PAX West will start from August 31st to September 3rd in Seattle.


Insurgency Sandstorm Pre-order Beta Announced

New World Interactive’s Insurgeny: Sandstorm will be having their preorder betas next week which will be on August 9 to 13. Players will be able to test out three of the Sandstorm’s maps as well as play in the game’s four game modes which are Firefight, Push, Checkpoint, and Skirmish. A second round of the beta will start on August 30th which will have three more maps and will offer a much more polished game. Insurgency: Sandstorm will launch in September for PC. For PS4 and Xbox One, it will be by 2019.


PUBG Gets Limited-Time Sanhok Event

PUBG Corp has announced a new limited-time event happening this weekend! The event is called Sanhok Forty-Fivers, and as the name implies, players are limited to using 0.45 ACP weapons (Tommy Guns, Win94s in primaries, and R45s, and P1911s), and players will be battling out in Sanhok. Players in North American, Asian and European servers will get to choose from first and third-person, while other servers are limited to first-person only. The Sanhok Forty-Fivers limited-time event runs from August 3rd until Sunday, August 5th.


Yakuza 6 May Be Coming to PC

The action-RPG Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is listed to be ported to PC as seen in the recently released financial earnings report for Q1 by Sega. The game is also the sixth mainline entry for the Yakuza series which was first launched on PlayStation 4 just earlier this year. The game’s name on the list is of course not a confirmation that Yakuza 6 will be made available for PC. But since Yakuza 0 will be available on PC, there is hope that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be available as well.


Yoku’s Island Express Demo Out Now

Pinball meets Metroidvania in Yoku’s Island Express! If you’re curious about this game, you have the chance to try it out as a demo for the game is currently available. The Yoku’s Island Express demo is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The demo will let players meet Yoku and some other characters. It will also give players a taste of its ope-world exploration and pinball platforming.


Farside Coming to PC and PS4

The mobile game Farside by Dark Horse Games will get a PlayStation 4 and PC port in the future. This has been announced during the PlayStation press conference in Shanghai, China. For those who are not familiar, Farside is a mobile game that offers a typical battle royale pattern where you will fight as the last man standing on a map that decreases in size over time. The game also features a more punk-like aesthetic as compared to the leading battle royal games like PUBG and Fortnite.


Black Ops 4 Blackout Adds Mixed Ballistics in Multiplayer

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is getting a mixed ballistics system in its multiplayer and it is all thanks to the game’s battle royale mode which is called Blackout. One of the mechanics that will be changed is the predictive recoil which will behave differently with each gun. Also, changes to the ballistics system will be felt by players where the ranges of each gun will come to play, using a mid-range gun for a long range shot will have the ballistics kick in and will be of course a little bit harder to use.


Quake Champions Bots are Back, Death Knight Introduced

Quake Champions received a new update which brings back bots to the game. Bots were previously taken down from the game due to programming issues. The good news is that they underwent some tweaking, and are now expected to perform in a better capacity. Players can now find them in custom games. The update also introduces the Death Knight from the original Quake game. The Death Knight has an ability called Flame Strike. He had an HP of 100 and and AP of 50/100.


Life is Strange 2 Full Reveal on August 20th

Life is Strange 2, the highly-anticipate sequel to Life is Strange gets a new teaser trailer. The teaser shows a dashcam footage of a police officer responding to a 10-10, which, according to a Google search, means Fight in Progress. The teaser ends with a message that says, “All will be revealed” and the date August 20. Episode One of Life is Strange 2 is set to be released September 27th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Two New Overwatch Teams for Season 2 Confirmed

The Overwatch League has confirmed two new teams that will be joining the next season. The two new teams are Atlanta, Georgia, and Guangzhou, China. Atlanta and Guangzhou are the first two teams that make up the Overwatch League’s second season. Previously it was reported that Paris will also be joining, but it’s still finalizing negotiations for a final spot with the league, according to ESPN.
