OCTOBER 25 PART 1

New Hitman 2 Locations Announced

A new trailer for Hitman 2 has revealed 5 new locations that will be featured in the upcoming sequel. Players will be visiting Himmelstein in Austria, Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand, the city of Mumbai, Whittleton Creek in the US, and the Isle of Sgail in the North Atlantic. Io Interactive has not given details about Agent 47’s missions in these locations, but we should be hearing more as the game nears its release. Hitman 2 is set to launch on November 20th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.


Cities Skylines Industries Expansion Available Now

Cities Skylines’ Industries DLC is out now! Paradox Interactive describes this expansion as “the most in-depth DLC in Cities history” as it allows players to build unique factories as well as customize their industrial areas with supply chains for four different types of resources. Coming with the expansion is also the new radio channel called Synthetic Dawn Radio, “the most far-out radio station to land in-game ever,” Paradox says.


Rainbow Six Siege Changes Operators in New Update

Halfway through Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 3, Season 3, also known as Operation Grim Sky, Ubisoft has rolled out an update that makes major changes to two operators — Maestro and Clash. Maestro’s ALDA 5.56 will have is recoil matched with other LMGs in the game to avoid confusion when using the weapon. Clash is getting nerfed hard to bring her in line with the devs’ original vision for her. This means slower weapon swapping speed and faster opponent recovery from her shocks.


Yakuza 4 Remaster Release Date Announced

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals the release date of Yakuza 4’s PS4 remaster! The game will be released on January 17, 2019. One of the biggest news about the game’s remaster is that the actor for the protagonist Masayoshi Tanimura has been recast. The new actor is Toshiki Masuda who replaced original actor Hiroki Narimiya who reportedly already retired after issues with drug dependency. The remastered version did not get a Western release at this time.


Battlefield 1’s Premium Pass Free for the Next Week

EA and DICE are once again giving the Premium Pass for Battlefield 1 away for free. In case you missed the chance to grab it for free last time, you have until October 31st to get it on Origin and Xbox One. The promotion should make its way to PS4 players soon too. As an added bonus, players who spend time in the game this month will get to earn special weapon skins, Dog Tags and Battlefield 5 items. Players have until October 31st to earn the rewards.


New Hunt: Showdown Map Revealed

Crytek has given us a look at Hunt Showdown’s daytime map, Lawson Delta. The map is set in Louisiana following the Civil War. Although this map is only playable during the day in the game, horror elements still abound in this map, so you still get the Hunt Showdown flavor from other bleak, dark maps of the game. The map has structures like the Nicholls Prison, Liberty Arsenal, Lawson Station, and a sawmill. The map is set to debut at TwitchCon later this month.


Spintires: MudRunner Amercian Wilds Expansion Out Now

Spintires: MudRunner is off to America! The game’s American Wilds expansion is out now and it brings new vehicles like the Ford F-150 and the Chevrolet K5 Blazer. The expansion also introduces two new maps which are “inspired by the rugged landscapes of Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota” – Mount Logmore and Grizzly Creek. Red Dead Redemption 2 Has a Day One Patch

Red Dead Redemption is all set to be released this Friday, and if you’re one of those who own the game, you better get ready as it has a Day One patch that has all the fixes and updates. Downloading these early will ensure you get to play the game on time when it releases. The game will unlock in the following times: Australia/New Zealand: 12:01 am October 26, Eastern Time: 7:01 am October 25, Pacific Time: 4:01 am October 25, and UK Time: 12:01 pm October 25.


Spider-Man PS4 Sets Historic Records for September

Insomniac Games’ web-slinging adventure is continuing to break records. Marvel’s Spider-Man placed at the top of NPD Group’s sales charts for September and is now the highest launch month dollar sales for any PlayStation exclusive. It is now the third best-selling game of the year and the seventh biggest release on any PlayStation platform. Meanwhile, NBA 2K19 came in second for that month and now holds the record for highest launch month sales for any sports game since NPD started tracking stats in 1995.


Steam Sale 2018 Leaked

The dates for the next Steam Sales have been leaked, and if these are true, better get your funds ready! The Steam Halloween Sale will begin on October 29th and will last until November 1st. Games – and movies – with horror themes will be the ones that will be on sale, although we can also expect some games to be included in the sale. The Autumn Sale, will then take place on November 21st, followed by the Winter Sale on December 20th.


Stormdivers 2nd Closed PC Beta Scheduled for November

Housemarque’s STORMDIVERS will be having its second closed beta, the company announced. Closed beta #2 will take place on November 1st, and will be exclusively available for players on PC. The company said that sign-ups for Closed Beta #2 is available on their website. STORMDIVERS is a multiplayer-centric game, which is yet to get a final release date.

PSN Name Change May Result to Loss of Saved Data, DLCs and More

Players who own a PlayStation and want to take advantage of the name change feature might want to think twice before doing so. A disclaimer for the feature posted in the ResetEra forums said that changing the PSN name may result to loss of access to content whether paid or free, like add-ons and virtual currency. Players may also lose game progress, including saved data, leaderboard data, and progress towards trophies. Some parts in games may also not function properly.


Epic Games Expands to New Zealand and Australia

Fortnite developer Epic Games is off to spread its wings as the company has expanded its operations to Australia and New Zealand. This new division will be headed by Tony Reed, former CEO of the Game Developers Association of Australia. Epic Games is yet to issue a statement whether its ANZ office will focus on developing or publishing, but Reed said that there will be a lot of news coming soon.


Assassin’s Creed Origins’ Bayek Heads to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Bayek from Assassin’s Creed Origins is now available as a Legendary Lieutenant in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Players can get him through the Ubisoft Club for 40 Units. Players can use lieutenants in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to fight alongside Alexios or Kassandra and set sail on their ship the Adrestia. They provide certain perks for naval combat as well as join the protagonist when boarding enemy vessels. Players can also summon them while fighting on land.


Trine 4 Confirmed for PC and Consoles

Developer Frozenbyte has announced the fourth game to come out of the Trine games. The announcement is quite weird as it didn’t have any other details and it also stated that it is not the official announcement for the game. The news came from a Tweet saying that Frozenbyte and Modus Games are partnering up to create Trine 4 which will be launching next year and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. We can expect to know more details soon.


Battlefield 5’s Battle Royale Mode Firestorm Arrives Spring 2019

As everybody is jumping into the battle royale bandwagon, so is Battlefield 5, but theirs would be arriving at a later date. The battle royale mode is called Tides of War and there will be 64 players that will be dropped into a huge map which will have an area that gets smaller for roaming around because of a ring of fire. EA is calling this the free, season-based post-launch support model of Battlefield 5 and it is set to arrive by Spring of 2019 according to the post in their official website.


Next Fallout 76 BETA Schedule for Xbox One Announced

Bethesda announced when the next Fallout 76 BETAs will take place. The next ones are still scheduled for Xbox One players. The second one kicks off Saturday, October 27th at 10:00 PM UK BSTand will only run for two hours. Another one will run on Sunday, October 28th at 5:00 PM UK BST. PC and PlayStation 4 players will also get to try out the game on October 30th. Fallout 76 will officially launch November 14th.


Microsoft Brings Xbox Game Pass to PC

The unlimited access subscription service called Xbox Game Pass will be coming to the PC as announced by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. No details have been given so far but it is sure that the Game Pass will be used in conjunction with the Microsoft Store. Right now, there are about 100 games available to be downloaded with the Game Pass and it costs $10 a month. Also, Microsoft is making sure that the first-party titles will be launched on the service as they are released.


Black Ops 4 Gets New Update, Improves Black Market Progression

Treyarch released a new update for Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and it includes improvements for the Black Market, the game’s tier-based marketplace. The update changes the rate which players earn new tiers. This time the process is faster, and players will be able to earn new tiers more consistently and progression rates are now similar with the multiplayer modes. Battlefield 5 Post-Launch Plans Announced

The post-launch plans for Battlefield 5 have been announced which gives us a roadmap of what to expect in the game. All of these will be free for all players. The first “chapter” that will be released will come in December and it is called Overture, and it introduces a tank-focused map. The second chapter is called Tides of War arriving in January to March, and it is a cooperative mode. The third chapter is Trial by Fire which will kick off on March and it will include the game’s battle royale mode.


Blizzard Rolls Out New Update in the Overwatch PTR

Blizzard rolled out a new update on the Overwatch Public Test Region. The update brings major changes to Mercy, Reaper, and Symmetra. Mercy’s Ultimate now costs 15% less and her healing per second increased from 50 to 60. Reaper’s shotgun’s spread pattern has also been made more consistent and the health he gets from his Reaping ability raised. Red Dead Redemption 2 Has a Companion App

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be getting a Companion App and it is primarily designed to be a secondary map screen as the game’s map is huge. Players will be able to zoom into the map with this as well as set waypoints and mark special areas. The app can also be used as an exploration tool displaying some core info and stats. Arthur’s Journal will also be available as well as the Social Club. The Companion App will launch on October 26 and is available for both iOS and Android.
