After Inc: Revival is a new city-building and simulation game from the team at Ndemic Creations, a development team based in Bristol, UK known for their incredible success with Plague Inc. A game with a strong strategic and simulation mix that launched in 2016, receiving various updates and achieving massive success during the 2020 pandemic period.

After Inc: Revival presents a “what if” scenario to Plague Inc, taking us to a reality where the Necroa Virus has devastated the planet, and we return decades later to repopulate the planet. After Inc: Revival – Available Today

Revealed in late November 2024, today marks the official launch of After Inc: Revival. The new title in development by Ndemic Creations takes us to a reality where the Necroa Virus has devastated the planet, with the game debuting today, June 17th, 2025 on Steam in Early Access.

First revealed in March, bringing us a What If version of their famous Plague Inc. This time, not only will we have the return of the strategic and simulation mix, but also a true city-builder survival in a “mini 4X” style. We’ll need to rebuild society decades after the fall of humanity.

 

After Inc: Revival – Gameplay and Key Features

After Inc: Revival aims to be an ambitious new project for the team at Ndemic Creations. Expanding on the Plague Inc. experience and adding a more strategic gameplay with a city-building experience. Offering the following:

  • Build Your Settlement: With a true survival experience, you’ll need to find resources and expand your settlement. With new technologies and structures, but also a strategic component as you make tough choices for survival.
  • Defend Your People: You’ll find yourself in a UK devastated by a zombie epidemic. Relying on one of 10 leaders with different attitudes and skills. Choosing how to protect your survivors and how to deal with the zombies.

With Advanced Access offering 2 complete campaigns and daily expeditions. The new campaign “Shadows of the Past”, new levels, and a Scenario Editor are confirmed. Additional features will be shared on the official Steam Roadmap.
