There’s a specific kind of tension that comes with a Wolfenstein campaign. The heavy, mechanical dread of the regime mixes with the pure adrenaline of tearing through enemy strongholds.
Fans have been waiting a long time to step back into the blood-soaked boots of B.J. Blazkowicz. Now, it looks like MachineGames is finally loading up the heavy artillery for the next chapter of the resistance.
Project Valkyrie Takes Flight
Recent casting calls have surfaced according to MP1st report, pointing directly to full-scale production on the next mainline entry. Operating under the codename “Valkyrie,” the project is pulling in some serious industry veterans to lead the charge.
Tom Keegan, fresh off directing performances for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, is officially on board. He’s joined by casting director Emily Schweber, who helped shape the intense atmosphere of previous entries in the franchise.
With performance capture slated to kick off this April and stretch into 2027, the development timeline is coming into focus. MachineGames has clearly shifted its full weight onto this project after wrapping up their recent adventure titles.

A Protector in the Wasteland
The most interesting leak from this casting call involves an entirely new character named Sofiya.
She’s described as a Ukrainian orphan between eight and eleven years old, traveling with her adopted dog, Ralph. The casting details explicitly note that she forms a tight bond with William, confirming Blazkowicz is back in action.
Sofiya is initially traumatized by the war but finds her strength under the care of the resistance. This sets up a fascinating shift in the narrative dynamic for a series usually focused on pure, unadulterated action.
Pairing a battle-hardened veteran with a young survivor suggests a much more grounded, character-driven story. It feels like a natural evolution for a protagonist who is already facing fatherhood in the current timeline.

Prime Video Synergy
Bethesda isn’t just stopping at the game, either. Rumors strongly suggest a Wolfenstein TV adaptation is actively in the works for Prime Video.
The strategy seems to involve coordinating the release of the live-action show alongside the highly anticipated third game. We’ve seen this multimedia approach work incredibly well for other massive apocalyptic franchises recently.
Having a major television event paired with a blockbuster game launch could push the series to entirely new heights.
The Long Road to Liberation
With shooting dates planned all the way into 2027, patience is going to be necessary for fans of the franchise. The next entry is clearly a massive undertaking that needs plenty of time in the oven.
But knowing that Blazkowicz is gearing up for another gritty run, with a compelling new dynamic, is enough to keep the anticipation high.
