DISNEY PLAN TO RELEASE MORE STAR WARS GAMES
Disney is reportedly planning to release Star Wars video games every six months.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is set to release in 2023 and will hopefully be the start of new plans to release more Star Wars games.
Disney’s plans include releasing a triple-A and smaller game every year, as development continues on Star Wars: Hunters and the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Whether we see a Star Wars game every six months remains to be seen as we wait for more news on Skydance New Media’s ongoing project and Ubisoft’s open-world game.
A recent report from Insider Gaming also suggests Star Wars: Eclipse, from Quantic Dream, may not release until 2026.
The lack of information on the announced games suggests that Disney has planned smaller projects, such as mobile games.
Whatever Disney plans, the variety of Star Wars games means there will be Star Wars content for everyone.
