After nearly ten years since the last Crysis game, developer Crytek officially confirms Crysis 4, telling us to “Join the journey. Become the Hero.”

It’s been almost a decade since Crysis 3 was released, but now its developer, Crytek, has officially announced Crysis 4 is in development with a cinematic trailer.
It’s unsure if Crytek planned to announce the game so early, but a leak on Chinese social media revealed the game, which forced Crytek to confirm Crysis 4.
Crytek CEO Avni Yerli confirmed the game in a blog post and stated that Crysis 4 will be a “truly next-gen shooter.”
As for Crysis 4’s release date, Yerli says that the game “is in early stages of development so it will be a while yet.”
So, we should not expect Crysis 4 to launch in 2022, but with more details yet to come out, we could see a late 2023 or early 2024 release date.
