Chrono Odyssey is the new MMORPG by Kakao Games developed by the team at Chrono Studio. This ambitious new MMORPG from the South Korean publisher was first announced in late 2020. Initially developed by publisher NPIXEL but later acquired by Kakao in 2024. It takes us into the fantasy world of Setera, devastated by war and horrors.
Where, thanks to the ability to manipulate space and time, we will face monstrous entities. Defeating every enemy at any cost. Chrono Odyssey: Closed Beta Announcement and How to Play
Following the first Dev Notes from April of Chrono Odyssey, with the first data from the private Focus Group, the team at Chrono Studio brings fantastic news. Officially announcing the arrival of the Closed Beta for the Fantasy MMORPG.
The announcement comes on May 19, 2025 with a dedicated trailer. In the trailer, we get a glimpse of the world of Setera and the challenges ahead. The Closed Beta on Steam will begin in June 2025. Joining the CBT is simple; just:

Chrono Odyssey: What the New MMORPG from Kakao Games Offers
Chrono Odyssey is an ambitious new MMORPG from publisher Kakao Games. It’s a title with some definitely interesting features, like the time manipulation mechanics. Here’s what it offers:
- Open World Adventure: It takes us into the fantasy world of Setera with its diverse landscapes and biomes. A world full of life and plenty of side activities with other players.
- Gameplay: A gameplay full of action, using the “Chronotector” artifact, which allows us to manipulate space and time to face off against the toughest challenges and enemies.
- Classes and Customization: There will be 6 different classes, each with its own skill tree and playstyle. Plus, strong visual customization options to make each character unique.
All powered by Unreal Engine 5 for cutting-edge graphics. Plus, it won’t be lacking in classic MMORPG features such as dungeons, raids and even PvP. The team also seems to confirm the presence of the game and new info at the Summer Game Fest 2025, which will start on June 6, 2025
