Capcom announced Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds may eventually be incompatible with Windows 10
Microsoft ending support for Windows 10 on October 14th has more implications than initially thought. We’ve already seen Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 14 make a notice that they are also ceasing support on the same date, and now, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter World, Rise, and Wilds share the same fate.
Monster Hunter Games May Be Unplayable In The Future
In an official Steam announcement, Capcom informs the public that in line with Microsoft ending support for Windows 10, the Japanese publisher can no longer guarantee that Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds will run on Windows 10 after October 14th.
While it will still be playable immediately after the said date, future system updates or title updates may render the game unplayable. They also shared that support will be limited to information before the ceasing of support. Meaning, if a new issue arises, no active investigation will happen.
Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Wilds will not be guaranteed to run on Windows 10 starting October 14, 2025.

This notice may not affect World and Rise much since both games have not received new patches for some time. But for Wilds, which at its current state still needs a lot more fixes, can be a problem. One can already imagine how much frustration there is on gamers that are still on Windows 10 and bought the game.
