• You can take advantage of the wildlife by being cunning and setting traps. To maintain a secure perimeter or to hunt smaller animals for food, you might even be able to find some traps hunters left behind.
• It's equivalent to being sentenced to death to spend the night in the bitter cold without any form of shelter and trying to venture outside during a snowstorm isn't much better. Remember that the weather in the mountains is unpredictable and subject to quick change.
• You could locate an old hunting lodge and restore it so that it serves as a decent base of operations from which you can prepare, gather resources and food, and even go hunting. You have a lengthy journey ahead of you. It will be less dangerous the better you plan.
• It could take several days between the time you call for assistance and the time it actually arrives. You still have to endure the extreme cold at Mount Washington.
• The sanity system in Winter Survival is undoubtedly the most distinctive aspect of this survival game. In actuality, starvation causes problems much later than the mind.

At its core, Winter Survival is a horror game, and it does a really good job with some of the creepy aspects it goes for. By far, one of my favorite moments was when I neglected my hydration, and an unfamiliar voice popped up over the radio and said, “Thirsty?”
