Thomas Was Alone is a single-player indie platformer developed and published by Mike Bithell.
It tells a story about friendship of the most-unusual characters – rectangles. Your objective is to guide a group of rectangles through an obstacle course. You have to use each of their different skills stogether in order to get to the end of the environment.
The rectangles in the game are considered as AI entities which are able to work together in order to get out from a maze of obstacles in a level. Each of the shapes have their own names and personalities. There’s also an in-game narrator who’s there to describe the rectangles’ personalities and their thoughts as you progress through the game.
With 100 levels to beat, make these rectangles work together and get to uncover each of their stories as well as use unique skills of more than 10 characters. The narrations courtesy of Danny Wallace are also something you have to look forward to in the game.
