    About this game

    The Unexpected Quest is a mix of resource management, puzzle gameplay, and simplistic RTS Mechanics. A group of dwarves has become stranded on a foreign island because of a storm in order to get home they must explore the island and find their missing brethren.

    • Meet the locals of the Island if mostly wants to be friends and help you or ask for your help and give out quests, if not they probably want to kill you, in that case, you need to hire mercenaries to defend yourself.
    • Most of the resource management can be summed up to supply and demand, dwarves don’t really shy away from work, but they won’t move an inch if you can’t feed them, Same principle applies with buildings you can’t build a mill with just sticks and stones, you often need specific resources for specific tasks.
    • Buildings are often the best way to get infinite resources mills and sawmills for example they might also be the main puzzle objective of the stage like Building bridges, docks, repairing buildings, etc.
    • Magic items are powerful instant effects that can do a lot of things heal wounds, stop workers from unionizing? Whatever the problem is magic items and potions will remedy the situation, save gold, open chests, complete quests in order to get them.

Unfortunately, it’s incredibly hard to justify the price-tag when you consider the game’s relatively short length and repetitive elements. Casual players might get a kick out of the laid-back experience, but RTS veterans should look elsewhere for their resource-managing and quest-completing thrills.
