Survive the Fall is a post-apocalyptic survival colony sim game developed by Angry Bulls Studio a global cataclysm has brought an end to civilization as we know it. After many years of darkness, sudden climate catastrophe, numerous fires, and extreme temperature fluctuations have devastated the earth as one of the survivors you will need to find other allies and with their help create new settlements because only a close-knit community can survive these harsh new times.
Survive the Fall combines some of the best bits of two of my favourite group survival games of the last ten years to impressive effect.
Survive the Fall is a solid take on colony management that tasks you with not only keeping your survivors alive, but manually retrieving the goods yourself via open-world exploration. The latter of this combination, however, could use a bit of work, and the game’s choice of aesthetic, characters, and narrative failed to really wow me.
Survive the Fall is a microcosm of the post-apocalypse genre in its most consistent form. All manner of wild and disparate societal annihilations lead invariably to the same familiar people and places.
