I wasn't familiar with the original 2002 version of this action game set in the dark fantasy world of feudal Japan, but the universe and fighting gameplay are quite distinctive and convincing. Graphically, the game is still rather dated, with textures unworthy of 2025.... so the target audience is more likely to be those who know the first game (30-40y old or more), fans of intense swordplay, or those drawn in by the historical aspect and very special lore of the game (Japan, fantasy...)
Onimusha 2 Samurai's Destiny is the remaster of the game of the same name more than 20 years later, with the mandatory high res textures and improved controls, because from my experience, controls were really difficult to handle by then. This version looks extremely colorful and sharp and also comes with an art gallery and new soundtrack tracks so it will make all the fans of the original happy and new players can experience a classic, something that lately is happening quite often lately
