Ninja Gaiden 4 on Xbox Series feels like Team Ninja just going back to raw action without trying to modernize everything. No gimmicks, no open-world nonsense, just fast combat and high difficulty again. It comes across as a straight continuation for people who already know what Ninja Gaiden is about, not something meant to convince new players.
The brutal hack and slash Ninja Gaiden 4 is exactly what was expected, a fast and bloody fighting game with a trusty katana, lots of deadly combos and tons of blood. The story is just an excuse to kill enemies and the main character is a new one for this entry but related to the one from previous games, but all that is not the reason why you wanna play this game, it is for the frantic action and of that the game is well served.
