NBA 2K26 is one of the cleaner 2K entries in a while, player movement looks more natural (less “skating”), the new shot meter is easier to read, and the on-court flow makes it simpler to create good looks without spamming the same tricks. It still has the usual 2K grind around the edges, but as a basketball game it’s a strong upgrade where it actually matters: gameplay.

NBA 2K26 brings some rather meagre new features, but we'll still remember a better-narrated career mode, with choices that will have a little more impact. However, what interests us is the court. The feel of the shots has been re-evaluated, as have the dribbling animations, but otherwise it's pretty standard. We love playing as NBA legends; it's a classic feature and I think it's my favourite. Special mention to the WNBA too!
