Bungie is back doing what it does best and so far it doesn't seem to disappoint. Marathon is their attempt at a successful PvPvE extraction shooter and so far it seems to be doing good, in the long run it remains to be seen, retaining the playerbase is not always easy when it comes to the genre. The gunplay looks extremely fun and there's a nice variety of guns and characters with unique abilities so if you're into the genre might be worth to check it out.
Marathon is a shooting and extraction game. You will be in teams of up to three players. It's up to you to enter this science fiction universe and find the right loot in the right rooms. Find the right keys to get there. You're bound to encounter bots that are assassins, some of which are even invisible! It's up to you to decide whether it's better to extract yourself or be greedy and risk being killed by a team stronger than you!
Can already smell the cosmetics, micro transaction, battle pass and everything in between with a hefty entry price tag from miles away, would not recommend playing or even buying this to beegin with. ericp2
The concept looks promising, and it’s interesting to see Bungie tackle the extraction shooter space with Marathon. If the gameplay loop feels fresh and not just trend driven, this could be something special.
If you are looking at a franchise reboot where a classic story-driven IP is being transformed into a competitive online game, like the name suggests too, Bungies's upcoming title seems to be a "sweaty" game that demands full attention. Can't wait!
