#BLUD is an action-adventure RPG with dungeon crawling elements save your friends and fight off the vampire apocalypse whilst surviving the horrors of freshmen field hockey practice developed by Exit 73 Studios. Killing the undead is just another day at high school for Becky Brewster a new kid in town latest in an ancient blood line of spell casting vampire hunters. Root out demonic infestations using the towns social media then take selfies with demonic forces to analyze their weaknesses. • Earn and discover upgrades for Becky’s trusty vampire-slaying field hockey stick to face the mounting challenges ahead including handy powerful attachments like a grappling hook, shovel, and umbrella shield.
• In order to unmask the supernatural demonic legions, you will need to use archaic and new means, translate your family’s mystic grimoire or snap selfies with monsters to tag their strengths and weaknesses.

#BLUD Reviews

#BLUD is not a long game, hustling its way through ten to fifteen hours of fun-filled narrative and crazy character interactions. Becky has to navigate the tropes of both high school life and comedic vampire horror, with a heavy dash of modern internet meme culture to add commentary and color. The writing is witty and tight, and the game does a good balance of presentation across its eleven chapters. So between the plot, the side quests, and the hunt for optional fun bits like selfies and collectibles, it never feels like time is wasted.

In its current state, #BLUD is worth your time, but a few combat issues hold it back from being truly great. The designs, animations, and writing are definitely highlights, and I found myself pleased with #BLUD after playing it on both Switch and Steam Deck. I hope the few hitching issues can be resolved though. #BLUD runs a lot better than I expected on Switch, and feels right at home on the system.
