Players control Emma directly to parry and attack, filling a Florescence Point (FP) meter. Every enemy features a standard health bar alongside a secondary down gauge. Landing consistent attacks and breaking this down gauge leaves the opponent vulnerable to immediate, high-damage finishing moves.
Defensive play is mandatory. Perfect parries negate incoming damage entirely and serve as the primary engine for generating FP. Boss encounters, regardless of their colossal size, utilize telegraphed movements that players can deflect to create vital openings.

Game Freak has confirmed that Beast of Reincarnation will not be restricted to Nintendo hardware, marking a major multiplatform release for the acclaimed studio.
The title will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on August 4, 2026 as well as on Xbox Game Pass at launch. With the notable absence of Nintendo Switch 2, and at least for now the publisher, Fictions, hasn’t mentioned future porting plans.
