Following the shutdown of the Western servers for Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, the team from Gust is finally sharing fresh details about the new chapter of Atelier Resleriana. With a special June 13, 2025 announcement accompanied by the new trailer. This trailer introduces us to the new adventure of this title in the Atelier series.
We’ll follow the alchemist Rias duo and the calm Slade as they travel to the Lantarna continent, where they return to Hallfein, the city of their childhood, which was locked off due to a mysterious incident. Their goal is to revive the city and uncover the truth about what happened to their loved ones. The release date is confirmed for September 26, 2025 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Atelier Resleriana: What we know about the new Atelier adventure
Along with the gameplay trailer, we also have a special First Look at the game. Producers Junzo Hosoi and Yasunori Sakuda dive deeper into the adventure in Resleriana. It brings an Atelier-style adventure with the classic mechanics of the series, but also some exciting new additions. The title offers:
- Exploration: Freely exploring the land of Lantarna, gathering resources and fighting enemies. With the Dimensional Paths as multi-level dungeons with rarer ingredients and the rare Starpearls accessories.
- Combat: Turn-based battles with a timeline. Adding a strategic twist with Multi-Actions to change the turns of allies and enemies. Also, the Interrupt and Item Mix for powerful combos.
- Synthesis: The new Gift Color Synthesis system. By connecting the Gift Colors of ingredients, you’ll get specific traits on the final product. Plus, there are 3 extra slots per recipe to apply boosted effects.
- City Development and Management: In addition to the classic mechanics, there will be the ability to manage the city’s development. Invest resources and profits to rebuild Hallfein while progressing the story and discovering new recipes.
Not to mention the return of some beloved characters from the Atelier series. Like the protagonists from previous chapters Sophie and Totori, as well as Raze from Mana Khemia 2. Plus the return of the young witch Wilbell Voll-Ersleid from The Alchemist of Dusk trilogy.
