Like in previous Assassin’s Creed games, Origins is an open world where players are able to freely roam and complete objectives. The game’s story is also a prequel to all the other Assassin’s Creed stories.

The video is supported by a voiceover of the developer to give more insight into the game. The gameplay features a side quest in the game where you and a geographer named Cortesos got hit in the head and was knocked out. When you came to, you find out that some of your belongings were stolen, including the geographer’s notes. You then try to find out who did this and retrieve your stolen items.

The gameplay video actually shows a few features of the game like the removal of the counter-focused attack but instead have focused on the environment for combat. Also, if by chance you fail in your attempt with the thieves, you will have another opportunity further in the game to do so. Another thing is, weather disturbances like sandstorms are not scripted since the game world is alive.

You will play as a Medjay named Bayek who is one of the very first Assassins and the game is set in Ptolemaic Egypt.

Assassin’s Creed Origins launches on October 27, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
