ALONE IN THE DARK – THE RETURN OF THE DARK MAN
THQ will revive Alone in the Dark with a reboot this January. Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood return to solve the mysteries of Decerto Manor. Also returning is Ezechiel Pregzt, otherwise known as The Dark Man.
REBOOT OF THE SERIES
Alone in the Dark is not a remake but a reboot of the original 1992 game. THQ considers it a reimagining and love letter to the original, with a few key twists to keep older fans happy and new players intrigued.
Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood are returning as playable characters as they uncover the secrets surrounding the mental asylum within Derceto Manor.
As the story progresses, players will be caught between reality and insanity as they face various monstrosities and come face-to-face with evil entities.
DELAYED
Players can finally play Alone in the Dark on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 16, 2024. Initially set for a release in October 2023, THQ chose to delay to avoid the launch of Alan Wake 2.
