Edge of Eternity Launches Into Early Access

Midgar Studios’ newest JRPG Edge of Eternity has launched into early access! This initial release is just the first act of the main story, and a chapter-by-chapter release is planned by 2020. The studio is small with just nine-people employed. They originally started with four people when the game Kickstarted in 2015. By February of 2019, the second open world quest hub is expected to launch and with it another city. Edge of Eternity is now available for 17.99 Euros.


Planet Coaster’s Magnificent Rides DLC Launches This Month

Frontier Developments announced the newest DLC for their theme park sim Planet Coaster, and it is the Magnificent Rides Collection. This is a paid DLC that will be arriving on December 18th. As the name implies, this expansion will mainly focus on the rides of the theme park. For now, what we know is that there will be the addition of the Mind Melt which is a suspended looping coaster, the Grand Carousel, and the Tracker. There will be one new ride revealed each day until the DLC launches.


Prey’s Typhon Hunter Update to Launch Soon

We can finally see Prey’s most awaited Typhon Hunter by the end of the year. The first launch announcement of the Typhon Hunter mode was for the summer of this year, but as we all know by now, that did not happen. However, a new teaser found in the game’s official Twitter account gives us a feeling that the launch date is creeping ever closer. Once released, this mode will be a free update for all existing Prey owners as compared to the Mooncrash DLC which was a paid expansion.


Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to Launch November 2019

A leak on Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has surfaced, and suggests that the game will be launching in November 2019. The leak also revealed that the game is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and players will take on the role of a Padawan on the run. The leak also suggests these events will happen five years after Episode 3, while the protagonist’s name is Cal who will be mentored by someone named Ceres. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was revealed back at this year’s E3 with a release set for Holiday 2019.


Black Ops 4’s New Specialist Teased

Treyarch teased a brand new specialist for their game Black Ops 4. The announcement was made via the PlayStation Twitter account which showed a very quick video of a hand that looks to be holding a bomb or detonator, it is not quite clear. For now, we don’t have any further information. We can expect more news about this when the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update comes on December 11th. We are also expecting information about the new Blackout map will be announced as well.


The Forest’s December Update Launches Next Week

End Night Games’ The Forest is getting a new update. The Forest‘s December 2018 update rolls out on the game’s PC and PlayStation 4 versions on December 10th. The studio has not provided patch notes, but its trailer shows some of the additions coming to the game. The trailer showed a woman, car, and dog made of wood, underwater exploration to an underwater cave, gliders, bombs, and a lot of monsters.


Multiplayer Game Brief Battles Launches Early Next Year

The 4-player party game called Brief Battles is arriving early next year on consoles as well as PC, as announced by its developer Juicy Cupcake. This is a fast-paced multiplayer game that uses the power of underpants. Different underpants would mean different powers like leopard print undies would grant extra speed, Y-fronts give players some toxic capabilities, and so on. There are 50 arenas that range from deserts to forests to mines. Brief Battles can be played on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.


GT Sport’s Free December Update Live Now

Polyphony Digital races into the headlines with its new 1.31 update for GT Sports. The developer invites you to grab your keys and become one of the first to drive the new car from the critically acclaimed Fast and Furious movie. A car once owned by actor Sung Kang AKA Han is now yours if you so desire. The patch also featured a holiday backdrop for Scapes as well as seven other fast cars with which you will not be furious. Buckle up and put the pedal to the metal on an all new track Tokyo Expressway South Route.


Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Showcases the Typhoon in Latest Aircraft Focus Video

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is soaring to new heights and on a mission to increase the crave of already salivating fans for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. The developer dropped another aircraft-focused video for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The video exhibited the Typhoon which has had a powerful impact both in the game and on the fans who witness it. With a little more than a month’s wait till launch, Ace Combat 7 fans anxiously count the days.


RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures Won’t Have Microtransactions

In a gaming community populated mostly by very young gamers who don’t have the means by which they may access purchasable content, micro-transaction is a shared concern. Thankfully, developers of RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures have quelled these fears when they expressed that there will be no such element in the game. This has certainly given fans more incentive to try the title which is set to be released on December 13, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.


Killing Floor 2’s Holiday Event Has Started

As Santa Claus concludes his naughty list, he realizes that being excluded from a gift list isn’t punishment enough for some. Some despicable beings require elimination. Much gratitude to the efforts of Tripwire Interactive, Badass Santa has arrived in Killing Floor 2 to exterminate the naughty. Badass Santa came with the game’s Twisted Christmas: Season’s Beatings patch which also featured new weapons and character and weapon crossover from Tripwire Interactive’s Road Redemption.


CS:GO Now Free-to-Play and Has Battle Royale Mode

Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has gone free-to-play! The company also added a battle royale mode for the game called “Danger Zone.” The game still offers players a paid “Prime” status which costs 15 Dollars. As for its battle royale mode, the difference CS:GO has from Fortnite and PUBG is that it hosts a maximum of 16-18 players only whether in solo or in a squad. Players will need to scour for weapons and cash across the map, and there are mini quests like rescuing hostages which rewards more cash.


Red Dead Online Beta Players Get Free Cash and Gold Bars

The first set of adjustments is heading to the Red Dead Online beta, and Rockstar is also giving away some free cash and gold to all beta players. From now until December 14th, eligible Red Dead Online beta players get 250 cash, and 15 Gold Bars. Rockstar said they are giving these as a form of thanks to players for playing the beta. As for the adjustments, Rockstar said they “specifically geared towards creating a more balanced, fun and rewarding overall experience,” across all its platforms.


Devil May Cry 5 Details Leaked

Both Capcom and The Game Awards didn’t have any choice but to confirm a leak on Devil May Cry 5 by Xbox Portugal ahead of The Game Awards. The Xbox Portugal Facebook page posted a trailer for the game which contains new details for the game. The trailer features the game’s playable characters, including V. The trailer apparently revealed V’s gameplay which includes him summoning demons. The trailer also reveals a demo exclusive for Xbox One on December 7th.


Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gets a Trial on PC and Consoles

Square Enix has announced a free trial for Shadow of the Tomb Raider for players on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The trial will let players journey to Cozumel, Mexico where Lara and her friend Jonah find themselves in the middle of the town’s Day of the Dead celebrations while they “race against Trinity to find a hidden tomb.” Should you wish to purchase the game after the free trial, all progress and unlocks will be carried over to the full game.


Black Ops 4 Gets a Battle Edition Without Zombies Mode

Treyarch has announced a new edition for Call of Duty Black Ops 4. The Battle Edition costs 30 Dollars, and includes only the battle royale mode Blackout as well as its classic multiplayer, while its Zombies mode has been left out. This cheaper version is currently only available for players on PC. This offer will last until January 7th, after which the price will go up to 40 Dollars.


Street Fighter 5 is Free to Play Next Week

Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 5 is free-to-play all week next week, as the company is trying to get players hyped for the “Capcom Cup 2018” which is slated to happen soon. The free play week is available on PC and PS4 and gives players access to the game’s original roster of 16 characters which include Guile, Akuma, and Sagat. During the free week, players will get to access Arcade Mode, Trials, Challenges, Offline Versus and Training as well as online features. The trial runs from December 11-19.


Fortnite Season 7 Content Revealed

Fortnite’s Season 7 is finally up, and we now have full details on what this new season brings. First up is Fortnite Creative which launches for Battle Pass owners. The new season also introduces a winter-themed update that brings a plane with five seats, new areas on the map, as well as ziplines which will allow players to zip from one point to another while using their weapons or items. This update also vaults the Port-a-Fort and Shockwave Grenade. Wraps that allow players to change weapons’ aesthetics were also added.


Next Far Cry Game, Far Cry: New Dawn, Leaked

The box art for the next Far Cry game has leaked, giving us details on what the new game is called, and possibly the new antagonists. The new Far Cry game is called Far Cry: New Dawn, and the leaked box art shows two young boys holding a crossbow and a handgun, with a man who obviously looked terrified tied in the distance as target. This box art leaked was posted by a Twitter user named Nibel, but the image has since been removed due to copyright issues. Stay tuned to our The Game Awards report for more details.


The Game Awards Nominees are On Sale

Video games that have been nominated at The Game Awards are now on sale on selected stores Justin time for the event. If you want to score great deals on the nominated games, head over to Steam, the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Games Store, and the Nintendo eShop to get them. Some of the games on sale are Forza Horizon 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and NBA 2K19. Other games you could also get on sale include Life is Strange 2, No Man’s Sky, Yoku’s Island Express, and Monster Hunter World.


Stellaris’ Expansion and Update are Out Now

Paradox Interactive’s space sim Stellaris has received a new update as well as a new expansion, and they’re both already available! The new expansion, called MegaCorp is a paid expansion and allows players to run a corporate empire in the game. The update, called Le Guin, is free, and it adds quite a lot of content to the game including crime, internal and galactic markets, and a new empire cohesion system. Destiny 2’s The Dawning Returns

Winter has arrived in Destiny 2 as The Dawning makes its return armed with winter festivities! The Dawning brings with it Eva Levante as she also makes her comeback with her favorite recipes and “stories of Dawnings past.” Eva will let players use her Holiday Oven while they scour for ingredients and baking items to turn them into goodies they can send to friends as gifts, or unlock new Sparrows. There’s also the new multiplayer emote Throwdown, and much more. the Dawning runs from December 11th until January 1st.
