Hellblade 2 Confirmed to Be Coming to PC and Xbox X Series X

Hellblade 2 has been officially confirmed to be coming to both PC and Xbox Series X. This confirmation came via a tweet published by Xbox Games Marketing representative Aaron Greenberg. An official release date for the game is yet to be divulged but the marketing team has been busy churning out promotional content to keep all potential players salivating. The latest bit of promo content was a trailer that can be seen on Ninja Theory’s YouTube Channel.

American Truck Simulator Get Idaho DLC

American Truck Simulator is poised to receive a brand new DLC that will take players to Idaho. According to a tweet issued by SCS Software, the DLC will cover the entire state which means if you have been been to or through Idaho there will be a number of readily identifiable landmarks. The announcement also came with some screenshots of the land of many waters wonderfully represented in the game. American Truck Simulator is now available on Steam for PC.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix Gets a New Trailer

Sega recently published a new trailer for Nintendo Switch exclusive game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix. The trailer showcases a number of cool features like the Vocaloid songs that are sure to serenade even the gloomiest of hearts. The game features the usual arcade mode along with a new Mix Mode that utilizes the motion controls of the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con. Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega39’s releases in Japan on February 13, 2020, then it will be released a little later in the west.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s New Costumes Revealed

News recently surfaced via the official Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Twitter account announcing the emergence of two new costumes. According to the tweet, the crossover fighting game will be getting the costumes on January 9, 2020. The first costume is of Safer Sephiroth, the iconic “One-Winged Angel” final from Final Fantasy VII and the second is Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is available for PS4, PC and in arcades.

God of War Pre-order Bonuses Free for a Limited Time

Sony is currently giving away God of War’s pre-order bonuses for free. The following items are free from now until January 6th: Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus, Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin, Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin, Shining Elven Soul-Shield Skin, and Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin. Once the items have been downloaded, these will be available for players in-game and can be found in the Armor and Weapons menu. The mentioned items can be used to customize Kratos and Atreus.

War Thunder Gets Six New Vehicles in Operation F.R.O.S.T. Event

War Thunder kicks off its Operation F.R.O.S.T. player event, and it is set to run until January 13, 2020. The event will have players complete in-game tasks in battle. Successfully completing these tasks will reward players with six new and exclusive vehicles: the TIS MA heavy fighter, the QF 3.7 RAM SPG, a 94 FT PT-811 torpedo boat, the J6K1 interceptor, the MERKAVA MK.2B tank and a Type 1924 JAGUAR destroyer. Vehicle coupons, Christmas decorations and other prizes are also up for grabs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Tops UK Physical Sales Charts

The UK Charts has released its final edition for 2019, and it caps the year with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at the top of the list. FIFA 20 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order have to settle on the number two and number three spots respectively, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Luigi’s Mansion 3 make it to number four and five. Surprisingly, two Crash Bandicoot games are also back in the top 10. Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled are in 9th and 10th places.

Witcher 3’s Steam Player Count Rises Following Premier of Netflix Show

The Witcher series premiered on Netflix last week, and thanks to the show, The Witcher 3’s Steam player count increased following its premiere. In a report by Steam Stats, The Witcher 3 surpassed Red Dead Redemption 2’s player count by around 1,000. The Witcher 3 is a critically-acclaimed game, receiving awards from different organizations, and even being named Game of the Year by some major video game websites.

Dead Cells Update Lets You play Its Older Versions

Motion Twin and Evil Empire released a new update for Dead Cells. The action platformer has received its Legacy Update which allows players to play all its previous “major iteration.” This includes the game’s original build that the developers released on Steam Early Access, “right up to the present.” The update also adds two new mutations, rebalances three least-used weapons in the game, and a Santa Claus skin for Christmas.

Rainbow Six Siege Gives Out Free Operator for the Holidays

For the holiday season, Rainbow Six Siege has a special gift for all you players who will log into the game. The announcement was made through a Tweet that was further explained through a Reddit thread. The special gift is an Operator that will be given for free and can be chosen from the Year 1 through Year 4 expansions. That is a whole lot of Operators to choose from. Left 4 Dead 2 Launches Fan Campaign Chernobyl: Chapter One

Left 4 Dead 2 has launched a fan-made campaign titled Chernobyl: Chapter One. The campaign’s developers spent the last nine years working on it, and finally, it’s available for other fans to experience. Chernobyl: Chapter One features a group of four survivors on their way to Siberia as the region’s permafrost will make it impossible for the infected to get past. The group had to charter a plane but they need to pass through Chernobyl which when all the action starts. The campaign features five maps as well as tons of new models.

Riot Shares Sea of Thieves Stats for the Year

Rare shared some of this year’s stats for Sea of Thieves. Throughout this year, players have earned over 216 billion gold, the in-game-currency, in total. Over 81 million voyages have also been completed, and pirates have also caught over 43 million fish! Over 44 million skeleton ships, and more than 25 million Megalodon have been encountered. over 1.6 million ships have also caught fire. Over at The Arena, more than 500,000 players have won matches. Black Mesa: Xen Now in Early Access

Crowbar Collective has officially released Black Mesa: Xen in Early Access after spending some time in beta. The Early Access release contains a lot of improvements, bug fixes, and performance tweaks. The developer plans to release two more Black Mesa versions in its Early Access phase, fixing any major issues as they come, and adding Achievements to Xen levels. The final version will then include Multiplayer, AI, and Workshop Pass.

World War Z Bugs Fixed in Latest Update

Saber Interactive has rolled out a new update for World War Z a couple of days before Christmas. The update improves the game’s overall stability, and also brings fixes to its Horde Mode. This update specifically fixes an issue that was causing a significant drop in performance, as well as a “zombie desync” that would accumulate between Horde Mode waves. Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions Launches This Week

Vestaria Saga is heading West, and it’s available starting this week. Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions was previously made available in Japan alone, and Vestaria Project is bringing the game to Western audiences via Steam starting December 27th. The game is described as a “Classically Styled Strategy RPG” featuring the protagonist Zadrian who’s out to protect his kingdom from imperial forces. Players will control army units as they battle imperial enemies, pirates, rebels monsters, and more.

The San Francisco Shock Signs Ansan Sniper

The San Francisco Shock gave fans a treat when they announced that they have signed Lee “ANS” Seon-chang, a formerly-retired sniper who also goes by the name Ansan Sniper. ANS formerly played for BlossoM in Overwatch Contenders Korea, and has built a reputation for hitting insane and accurate headshots on Hanzo and Widowmaker. He retired from the professional Overwatch scene in January of this year.

Call of Duty League Announces Tournament-Based Play in Inaugural Season

Professional Call of Duty tournaments are set to make a return in 2020. In an announcement on Twitter, the Call of Duty League said this new tournament season will have a tournament-based structure, starting with the second week of the 2020 Call of Duty League season in London from February 8 to 9. “This format, coupled with a brand new points system that goes into effect on Launch Weekend, will deliver a competitive experience where every match of the season matters,” its post said.

Overwatch Gives Away Free Holiday Loot Boxes

Blizzard is giving away Holiday goodies for Overwatch players. By logging in from now until January 2nd, players will find five virtual presents in-game. This is part of the game’s Winter Wonderland event. The loot boxes contain holiday skins, sprays, and a lot more. The boxes do not contain Legendary skins for this year’s event, though, as they are tied to weekly challenges.

Final Fantasy 14’s Starlight Celebration is Back This Year

Final Fantasy 14’s holiday Starlight Celebration event is back, and it runs until December 31st. The event contains quests and festive items, and players can also acquire previous Starlight Celebration items that are available in the seasonal shop. Some areas in the game, like Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, are also decked with holiday décor and also includes some festive tunes to celebrate the season.

The Outer Worlds Getting Story DLC Next Year

The Outer Worlds is set to receive its story DLC next year, according to Obsidian forums social media manager Shyla Schofield. In a post, Schofield expressed appreciation for being nominated during The Game Awards 2019, then added, “However, the journey isn’t over yet as we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year!” She also said details about the DLC will be made available at a later date.
