Riot Announces League of Legends Digital Card Game

Riot Games put a stop on rumors floating about them working on a League of Legends digital card game. In its 10th anniversary stream, the company announced Legends of Runeterra, a digital card game set in the League of Legends universe. Although details are scarce at this time, Riot said they promise to bring a card game with no frustrating microtransactions. With Legends of Runeterra, players can buy any card directly rather than purchasing randomized booster packs while hoping for the right card. These cards can also be earned through play.


Clea Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020

Sekai Games has announced that its horror PC title Clea will be available on the Nintendo Switch in 2020. The game first released on Steam in July of this year. Clea tells the story of a young girl and her brother who must find ways to escape scary beings called Chaos Servants. Apparently, the Chaos Servants have besieged them during Clea’s birthday inside the Whitlock mansion. The game has stealth elements, plus players will be solving puzzles and collecting items to help them with their quest for freedom.


Medieval BR Game RAN: Lost Islands Announced

Developer Jolly Roger Game Studio and video game publisher Zodiac Interactive have announced a new battle royale game set in medieval times. The game is RAN: Lost Islands, and it brings 100 players called outcasts as they battle for survival. The game is set in an island and players will be able to discover high-level equipment and search for treasure and artifacts in the island’s landmarks. The game also features three warring factions — The European Empire, Ming Dynasty, and Japanese Shogunate — plus nine different classes.


Ghost Recon Breakpoint Update 1.2 Available Now

Ubisoft has rolled out Update 1.2.0 for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. This patch brings tweaks for the game’s cover system, as well as improvements on different visual elements and vehicle physics. The update also brings some gameplay tweaks including reduced time to mark enemies, and adjustments to the reverted drone and binoculars controls. Chernobylite Now on Early Access

Sci-fi survival-horror game Chernobylite is now available on Steam Early Access. The game is set in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and players will investigate and inspect landmarks that were affected by the nuclear disaster. The game features eight hours of content, offering non-stop survival and non-linear story-telling. The developers promise to bring free updates, new episodes locations, characters, and equipment in the future.


Atmospheric Action-RPG Unsouled Announced

PQube and developer Jinsub Jung have revealed their upcoming game, Unsouled, which will be launched for PC in Spring 2020. The game is described as “an atmospheric Action-RPG about a mysterious power used with deadly purpose. It features highly-stylized, fast-paced combat that allows players to focus more on moving forward than spending time completing puzzles.


The Outer Worlds Will Have a Huge Day One Update

Obsidian Entertainment has revealed that The Outer Worlds will have a hefty day one patch, and those who own the physical edition will be the most affected. The launch update is at 38GB on Xbox One and 18GB on PS4. It contains tweaks and optimization fixes. The digital version, though, will have the day one patch included in the pre-load. Obsidian did not mention whether PC players will also be affected. The Outer Worlds launches on October 25th.


Rare Adds Banjo to Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves has received its Fort of the Damned update. In an effort to respond to fans’ clamor for a new Banjo-Kazooie, the studio has added Banjo to the game. The catch is it was not Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie, but a banjo, the stringed instrument. According to Rare, the banjo is a permanent addition to the game and is free for all players. As for the update, it brings a Halloween theme to the game including a new challenge in Old Boot Fort.


PUBG Season 5 Content Revealed

PUBG Season 5 is going live on October 23rd on PC and October 29th on consoles, and PUBG Corp has released details on what players can expect when the new season arrives. Season 5 will add the ability for players to throw all melee weapons. This means players could throw their ever-so-reliable frying pans at opponents, and if they aim right, they could get a one-hit distance kill. The update also adds throwing helpful items to allies, changes to Miramar, vending machines, plus new stuff for the Survivor Pass.


Close to the Sun Launches on Consoles Later This Month

Storm in a Teacup’s teslapunk horror adventure game Close to the Sun is heading to consoles on October 29th. The game is also available on PC via the Epic Games Store and it launched back in May. It is also planned for release on Steam in 2020. Close to the Sun is set in an alternate reality where “the inventions of Nikola Tesla changed the world forever.” Players will get aboard a huge ship called Helios as Rose who’s there to save her sister. The Helios features a railway system for people to travel from one point to another.


Anthem Was 5th Best-Selling Game of 2019 Until August

NPD Group has revealed that BioWare’s Anthem was the fifth best-selling game of 2019 in the US up until the end of August. When the game launched, it was met with a lot of criticism because of core design problems, bugs, server issues, and more. Mortal Kombat 11, Kingdom Hearts 3, Madden NFL 20, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 are the top four games of the year so far according to NPD’s stats.


Pokemon Sword and Shield Gets Fat Pikachu

A fat Pikachu is coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield all thanks to the Gigantamax transformation. Other Pokemon that were featured to have the same transformation are Charizard, Eevee, and Meowth. The Gigantamax Pikachu was first seen in 1999, where Pikachu looked like a round mouse as compared to what we see today. In the Gigantamax form, Pikachu gets a special move called G-Max Volt Cash which can deal damage as well as paralyze all the opponents on the field using Pikachu’s electricity.


Manifold Garden Launches on Epic Game Store and Apple Arcade

Manifold Garden is finally available after being in development for almost seven years. The game is a recursive puzzle-adventure where the abstract world “repeats infinitely in every direction and falling down leads you back to where you started.” Designer of the game William Chyr has the game Manifold Garden available on the Epic Games Store as well as on the Apple Arcade. Enjoy an “Escher-esque” world in Manifold Garden.


Dicey Dungeons Huge Update Revealed

A huge update is coming to Dicey Dungeons! This is update 1.5 and it is the biggest update for the game since it was launched. The game comes with some balance changes, new challenges, and many more. The dungeon’s Witch is now more wicked, having an extra dice drop at level 4 and so much more. The Elimination Rounds have also been balanced having enemy equipment boosts tuned back and redesigning opponents like Aoife, Wicker Man and Sneezy. Gears 5 First DLC Character Drop Available

Gears 5 gets its very first DLC character drop and it is for four characters. The DLC will come with two characters on the hero side and two on the villain side. On the hero side are COG Gear and DeeBee and on the villain side are Warden and General Raam. Each character will have special abilities that are available across the different modes of the game. Each character has different objectives to complete. Also, each character can be bought for 500 iron which is roughly £4.25 pounds.


Anthem’s Season of the Skulls Announced

Anthem is celebrating Halloween this year with the Season of the Skulls event. This event will signal the close of the long-running Cataclysm event. Season of the Skulls is a season-long, themed event that will come with unique rewards and challenges. Players would just need to log into the game and select the Season of the Skulls option in the main menu. There will be some special arenas as well as Halloween-themed modifiers and rewards. The freeplay mode of the game is also affected by this event.


Stars End Launches on Steam Early Access

Multiplayer sci-fi survival game called Stars End is launching on Steam Early Access. The game is set hundreds of years in the future with humans escaping a dying world and looking for another star system to colonize. Players will start with just the basics, look for resources, complete missions, uncover mysteries while building your own stronghold. The game offers procedural planets, planetary warfare and territory control. Stars End is set to launch sometime in 2022.


Legends of Runeterra is Topping LOL on Twitch

A League of Legends CCG called Legends of Runeterra is now playable for a handful of people but it is already topping the Twitch rankings. Right now, those who are interested in the game can only know all about it via the Twitch broadcast. The game was able to get 137,000 viewers on Twitch. The game on top is still Fortnite though, but it still ranks several thousands above League of Legends right now. The game is also an autobattler. The Watcher Beta Sign Up Now Live

The Watchers which is a haunting online co-op puzzle game is having a beta starting October 31st and will be running up until November 3rd. Get to play as twins, a brother and a sister, Frederico and Luisa Puerta, as they look for their mother in the headquarters of an abandoned cult. The game offers an online co-op gameplay, some challenging puzzles, a horror atmosphere, a unique environment as well as an original soundtrack. Beta sign-ups will end on October 30th at 11:59 PDT.


World of Warships Update Come With Halloween Event

The latest update for World of Warships is here and it comes with a new Italian cruiser line with new mechanics, a new event, the new Taranto Port and many more. The update is 0.8.9 and it also comes with some Halloween celebrations like Saving Transylvania and Sunray in the Darkness Operations. This will start on October 31st with the new game mode called “Raid of the Filth”. World of Warships is currently available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Novarama Launches Federation Update

Novarama launched a major update for their game Killsqad and it is called Federation. The game is currently available on Steam Early Access and with the launch of the update comes a 30% discount for the game on Fanatical.com The update comes with a whole new game progression system, new enemies from the Federation Forces, new skins, a player profile screen as well as some faction systems. Also, Novarama teamed up with Nvidia for a competition to win an NVIDIA GeForce 2080Ti RTX graphics card.


Battle Princess Madelyn Launches in Europe and Australasia

Causal Bit Games has launched Battle Princess Madelyn for the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Australasia. This is the final revision of the game and it will come with the ‘King Daddy Mode’ . This mode has the highest difficulty level, players must fight through hordes of zombies with only one weapon, the Insanity Blade. There won’t be any projectiles nor will there be any power-ups. A ‘Boss Rush’ is also available, where players will battle against the bosses only.
