Devil May Cry 5 Will Launch with Practice Mode

Devil May Cry 5 will be launching with a practice mode called “The Void”. The practice mode was highlighted in X018. This mode will allow players to turn off the enemy damage and will also let them practice their combinations without any limits. Players can also enable the damage meter to know how much damage their combos can inflict. This mode also works with any of the Devil Breakers – the robotic arms that give Nero those special abilities. Devil May Cry 5 will launch on March 8, 2019.


Battlefield 1 Commemorates Armistice Day

An amazing thing happened in Battlefield 1 in commemoration of Armistice Day. For those who don’t know, it is the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1. To commemorate this, Jan David Hassel of DICE said that Battlefield 1 players stopped shooting each other. This is a sight to behold especially for an online game. A video was made available to celebrate the moment and it could be found on Reddit. It may be a simple thing to do, but so much respect goes out to those who joined in the effort.


Katamari Damacy Reroll to Get Demo at Launch Next Month

If you miss Katamari Damacy, don’t fret as the Reroll will be released by next month. Bandai Namco announced that the game will launch on both Steam and Nintendo Switch by December 7th and pre-orders are available right now. Also with the announcement is another news that says a demo for Katamari Damacy Reroll will be available for those playing on Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to test the new two-player mode using the Joy-Con of the Switch. So get ready to restore all the stars!


Bioshock-Inspired Shooter Void Bastards Announced

Microsoft has announced a new game called Void Bastards, a strategic shooter inspired by games like System Shock 2 and BioShock. In this game, players will need to lead the prisoners of the Void Ark through the Sargasso Nebula. The game features choice-driven gameplay that allows players to pick their fights as they enhance skills and go about the nuances of managing a ship. Void Bastards will be an Xbox One console exclusive at launch and will be added to the Game Pass catalog on day 1.


Golden Frieza and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta Join Jump Force

During X018, Jump Force released a trailer showing off the super-powered versions of two of its characters – Vegeta and Frieza. The video shows Super Siyan Blue Vegeta as well as Golden Freiza. These are the most powerful versions of the characters, and you will get to see their special moves in the video. Some footage was also shared for the Super Siyan Blue Goko. Jump Force will be available next year by February 15 and will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.


Shadow of the Tomb Raider Forge DLC Shows Off Co-op and Score Attack Modes in New Trailer

Square Enix showed off a new trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider during XO18 that showed off the upcoming The Forge DLC. The Forge is the first of several expansions coming to the game and will feature a new tomb Lara and an ally discovered in South America. The entire DLC is playable solo or with a friend in co-op. It’ll also add a new Score Attack mode to help finally settle the “who’s better” argument between friends or rivals. The Forge will be launching on November 13th.


New Kingdon Hearts 3 Trailer Brings Back Sora to Hundred Acre Wood

Another big reveal was shown during Microsoft’s X018 and this time it is for Kingdom Hearts 3. Shinji Hashimoto of Square Enix revealed that Sora and friends will be returning to Hundred Acre Wood to help out the residents. The new adventure looks like it will be a take on Puzzle Bobble which is one of the classics. You will also get to see Pooh and his friends in the new trailer highlighting the power of friendship. Kingdom Hearts 3 will launch on January 29, 2019, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.


Thronebreaker Available Now on Steam

CD Projekt Red has released Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales on Steam! The game includes some digital goodies such as the game’s soundtrack, the official concept art including a map of Lyria, digital copy of GWENT: Art of The Witcher Card Game artbook by Dark Horse, and digital copy of The Witcher: Fox Children graphic novel by Dark Horse. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will also release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 4th.


Fallout 76 Day One Patch is 54 GB in Size

Are you ready for Fallout 76? If you are, you also have to know that the game has a 54GB day one patch. This patch will address a lot of issues including those that players found during the game’s BETAs. It is also worth noting that this is on top of the base 45GB install that players will have to make, which gives it a total of almost 100GB file size. Fallout 76 will be available starting November 14th.


Final Fantasy 14’s Patch 4.45 Rolls Out

Final Fantasy 14’s 4.45 patch has just been rolled out, bringing with it a few changes. The Pyros and Hildibrand quests have been added in the latest patch, along with new furniture items, mounts and minions, orchestrion leads, more Triple Triad cards, and new hairstyles and emotes. The North American leg of the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival is also set to happen this weekend in Las Vegas so it’s possible we might be getting even more content and exciting announcements soon.


Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle Gets New Patch with Fan-Requested Features

The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is getting a patch full of new features that were requested by fans. The bundle includes seven old school games but since it is a few decades old it lacks some modern features that should already be a part of any game. This was addressed by Capcom in a recent patch. There are old-school filters, screen sizing options like full size and original aspect ratios and the best of all is the mid-session match joining option. This allows players to join in at the middle of a match.

For the King Gets Free Expansion

Developer IronOak Games announced its boardgame-like RPG For the King will be getting another free update which will be available on PC starting November 21st. The update will be focusing on the seas of Fahrul, and is called “Into the Deep.” This update brings in additions like “incredible sea battles, fearsome enemies, awesome boats”. It will include 9 new enemy types, new NPC encounters, new weapons, armors, outfits, and much more.


Five Nights at Freddy’s Will Still Get Console Ports and Possibly a Triple A Game

There’s no doubt that Five Nights at Freddy’s is a popular game. Streamers have featured it countless times, and it even spawned eight different games, toys, a couple of novels, and a feature film is also in the works. But that does not stop there, as the game’s creator Scott Cawthon confirmed in a lengthy blog post that the game’s console ports are still coming, and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. He also said there will be a triple A game but it’s still zero percent complete.


Spyro Reignited Trilogy Day One Patch Size Revealed

Players who got their copies of Spyro Reignited Trilogy early have discovered that the game has a 19GB day one patch on top of the 31.5GB file size it also requires, bringing the total file size at 67.5GB for consoles. Another player also discovered that Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon won’t be playable unless players insert the game’s disc in their consoles. Spyro Reignited Trilogy heads to PS4 and Xbox One on November 13th.


Theme Park Game Parkitect Exits Early Access

After its run on Steam’s Early Access, theme park simulation game Parkitect will be officially launching on November 29, 2018. The game’s 1.0 version will add a Campaign Mode with 26 scenarios included as well as the usual fixes to some issues cited in its early access version. The game’s 1.0 version will be available at 30 USD. More content will be added to the game in the form of free updates.


Nuketown Heading to Black Ops 4 on the PS4

This week, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be getting some new content, including the return of the fan-favorite Nuketown map. This map will be free for some players, and those on the PlayStation 4 will get it first on November 13th. Players on PC and Xbox One will follow “later” according to Treyarch, although it has not revealed exactly when. There’s a lot more in store for Black Ops 4, as Treyarch is set to introduce the first of several new Specialist characters next month.


Amazon Lists Sunset Overdrive for PC, Releasing This Week

We are waiting for Insomniac Games to confirm or deny speculations that Sunset Overdrive will be coming to PC. After an ESRB listing and multiple ratings were found online the past weeks, a listing on Amazon mentions the game’s exact release date for PC which is November 16, 2018. It even has a price which is at 20 USD. The listing on Amazon also mentioned that the PC release will include the game’s two add-ons (Mystery of Mooil Rig, and Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines) plus the Weapons Pack.


Lunastra Heads Into Monster Hunter World in Free Update

Monster Hunter World players on PC will finally get to hunt Lunastra as it gets added to the game’s PC version later this month. Lunastra was added to the game’s console versions earlier through a free content update. Lunastra is “a rare female Elder Dragon that litters the air with hot blue dust” and often travels alongside her mate Teostra. Players need to reach HR 16 or higher to take on the event via the Huntsman in Astera. Lunestra will be available alongside a new update coming on November 21st.


Kingdom Two Crowns Release Date Revealed

The release date for the new Kingdom game Two Crowns has been revealed. The game will be heading to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch on December 11th. This will also be included in the Xbox One Game Pass for December. Kingdom Two Crowns, as its name suggests, will introduce co-op – couch co-op on all platforms on launch day, and online co-op for every platform except Switch. There will also be new settings for Campaigns, and the first one is a Japan-inspired Shogun campaign. More settings will be added in the future.


Magic Arena Will Soon Let Players Play with Friends

Magic Arena is finally getting the much-awaited feature to play against friends this week. The feature will be called Direct Challenges and it will be available starting November 15th. The game is still in its open beta period. Direct Challenges will allow players to play games against players who are in their friends list. As of this report, it appears like this feature will only apply to Standard formats. We’ve only got a few days left before its launch so we can expect to get more concrete details soon.


Warhammer Vermintide 2 DLC Brings Back Players to Ubersreik

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is going back to its roots through its upcoming DLC Back to Ubersreik. This DLC brings nostalgia-filled map packs that fans of the series will surely remember. The DLC is set to arrive this December and is meant as a homecoming for heroes across three Vermintide 1 maps which include the fan favorite Horn of Magnus.


Some Players are Unable to Uninstall the Fallout 76 Beta

The Fallout 76 beta has come to an end, but some players have encountered a problem merely days before the game’s official release. Those who either purchased the game for themselves, or got their beta keys as gifts from friends, are unable to uninstall the Fallout 76 beta from their PCs. An error message pops up, saying they need to be logged in to the Bethesda.net account that owns the game in order to uninstall the beta. Bethesda has not released a statement at this time.
