More Iceborne Details Revealed in Latest Monster Hunter World Dev Diary

A new trailer and dev diary for Monster Hunter World Iceborne has been released and it reveals more info about the upcoming expansion. Glavenus from Monster Hunter Generations will be returning. Two new sub-species of existing behemoths have also been introduced — the lightning-themed Fulgur Anjanath and the dragon element Ebony Odogaron. The devs also talked about the new Gathering Hub in Hoarfrost Reach called Seliana. The trailer also revealed that classic behemoth Brachydios will be making a comeback in Iceborne.


Shakedown Hawaii’s Second Major Free Update Live Now

Shakedown: Hawaii has received its second DLC update, and it is free for players of the game! The update is called “Full Tank,” and as the name suggests, it brings tanks to the game. The addition of tanks will allow players to control more vehicles in the game as they wreak havoc in the streets. The Full Tank update also comes with enhancements such as the zoom-off camera option, off-island travelling using the airport, vehicle purchasing, transferring money between characters, and more.


Sci-Fi FPS Disintegration from Halo Cro-Creator Announced

Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto has a new studio called V1 Interactive, and now the developer has announced its first project — the sci-fi FPS Disintegration. The game is set to be “fully unveiled” at next month’s Gamescom, but reports say the game will be launching in 2020. No news as to which platforms the game will be available on, either. “We can’t wait to introduce this new game that our team is building to the world next month,” Lehto said in a statement.


Greedfall Release Date Revealed

Focus Home Interactive has announced the release date of SPIDERS’ new action-RPG, Greedfall. The game is set to launch on September 10th, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The release date announcement comes with a trailer which showcases the different characters in the game, as well as its combat mechanics, and the customization options available for players. The game will be transporting players to a dying world due to an uncontrollable disease.


The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan to Get Co-op and Local Multiplayer Modes

Two new multiplayer modes are coming to Man of Medan. Supermassive Games announced that even though the game can be played solo, those who want to share the terror with friends can do either through the local Movie Night mode or the online Shared Story mode. Shared Story mode will have players controlling different characters and experiencing the story from different perspectives. On the other hand, Movie Night will allow up to 5 players experience the story in turns, with each player controlling one or more characters.


Cytus Alpha: Collector’s Edition Available Now in Europe

Cytus: Alpha Collector’s Edition is coming to Europe and Australia, courtesy of Numskull Games’ partnership with rhythm-action game company Rayark Games and publisher PM Studios. The Collector’s Edition is the definitive edition of the game, and is available on the Nintendo Switch. This edition includes over 200 songs made up of collaboration tracks and newly written tracks, as well as new visuals. This also comes with a new leaderboard plus a bonus music CD featuring 10 tracks from Chapter Alpha.


Valkyria Chronicles 4: Complete Edition Officially Launches

The Complete Edition of Valkyria Chronicles 4 is out now, and is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Valkyria Chronicles 4: Complete Edition includes add-on scenarios which range from high difficulty maps to entirely new content. These include: A United Front with Squad 7, Edy’s Advance Ops, The Two Valkyria Expert Level Skirmishes, A Captainless Squad, and Squad E, to the Beach!


SolSeraph Launches on PC and Consoles

Sol Seraph has finally launched and is available now on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. Sol Seraph combines side-scrolling hack-and-slash with top-down isometric strategy elements. Players will take on the role of Helios, the Knight of Dawn, and take on a quest to stop the Younger Gods from tormenting humankind. You go on adventures by yourself in side-scrolling levels, then switch to commanding the people in real-time strategy battles in-between. Sol Seraph was developed by ACE Team and published by Sega.


Overwatch Summer Games 2019 Announced

The latest Overwatch Developer Update mentions this year’s Summer Games event, as well as Hero 31. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan shared that this year’s Summer Games event will be taking place slightly earlier than expected, and will be a bit different. Kaplan did not mention a start date, but he said there will be three week-long challenges that will offer three unlockable epic skins. Hero 31, on the other hand will be revealed at a later date as they need more time to make him “even more awesome.”


Release Date for The Bard’s Tale 4 Director’s Cut Confirmed

The release date for The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut has been confirmed. This edition will be launching digitally on PC starting August 27, 2019, while for Xbox One and PS4, it will launch as a physical copy on September 7, 2019. The Director’s cut is the definitive edition of The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrow’s Deep as it contains new features and content, including an Unreal Engine update. Players who own the base game on PC will receive all Director’s Cut content as a free update.


Ys IX Monstrum Nox Trailer Revealed New Details About the Game

Ys 9 Monstrum Nox has received a new trailer, revealing more details on the game. The trailer revealed that each Monstrum will have a civilian and another identity. It is also now confirmed that the game will feature multiple costumes that will come in the form of DLCs. Ys 9 Monstrum Nox is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 4 on September 26, 2019 in Japan. We don’t have word whether the game will also be available outside Japan.


Tetris 99 Holds Crossover Event with Splatoon 2 in Latest Grand Prix

Splatoon 2 and Tetris 99 are crossing over for the latest Tetris 99 Grand Prix. Fans can play Tetris 99 to earn points by winning and earning high finishes. Accumulating 100 points will allow players to unlock the exclusive Splatoon Crossover theme. No prizes have been announced yet for this Grand Prix, but previous ones awarded cash prizes and Nintendo eShop credit. The Grand Prix is live now and runs until 8 AM BST on July 16th. Meanwhile, Splatoon 2 will be holding its final Splatfest from July 18th to the 21st.


FIFA 19’s Latest Update Out Now

The latest update for FIFA 19 is live now on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The update reduces the time it takes for the game to retry sending gameplay info through your network when the first attempt was unsuccessful. EA says this should help prevent input delay in certain situations. The update should also reduce the maximum buffer between receiving gameplay info and rendering it visually onscreen. The update hopes to alleviate some of the issues with online matches that have been frustrating players.


Tiny Metal Full Metal Rumble has Launched

Tiny Metal Full Metal Rumble has just launched on Steam. This is the follow-up to 2017’s Tiny Metal and brings back the same Advanced Wars-style strategy gameplay that fans love. The sequel has players controlling three unique commanders, each with their own squads and special ability, on different battles that take place across open fields, icy tundras, mountain ranges, and even in the air. Players can also challenge friends and other players online, putting their squads and strategies to the ultimate test.


Call of Duty Modern Warfare First Gameplay Video Released

Activision has released the first gameplay video for Call of Duty Modern Warfare and the soft reboot is looking to be more grounded than previous entries. Our first look at gameplay came by the reveal of the new Gunfight mode on Twitch. The mode will have two teams of two battling it out with pre-set loadouts on specifically designed maps. The gameplay has drawn comparisons to Rainbow Six Siege and Battlefield, but it’s almost certain that the games more traditional multiplayer modes will be more fast-paced.

The latest Gears 5 trailer shows off the new Training Grounds multiplayer map. Training Grounds is a large map that will offer several firefight hot spots and places sneak around enemies for surprise kills. This is the second multiplayer map developer The Coalition has shown off, the first being District. Gears 5 will launch on September 10th but a multiplayer technical test will start on July 19th for those eager to get a taste of the action. The game will be available on PC and Xbox One.


Square Enix Debunks Final Fantasy 7 Remake Xbox One Launch Rumours

Rumours have been floating around lately that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be launching on the Xbox One as well. Square Enix was quick to crush the rumour though, saying that the game will only launch on PlayStation 4 come March 3rd, 2020 and adding that they have no plans for other platforms. The 1997 original was also a PlayStation exclusive when it first launched but has since been made available on other platforms. If it ever does come to other platforms, it will probably take a long time given the game’s episodic format.


Dead Cells Gets New Enemy and Tweaks in Latest Console Update

Motion Twin has released its 13th update for Dead Cells in consoles. The update brings a new mob, The Rampager. They are zombies and are really dangerous. The Arbiter has been taken out of the game as well. Rework on the Thunder Shield have also been done. This update also adds fixes to the Elite — now they can’t see players through walls and all dropped weapons and activeables now have a starred affix.


Ubisoft to End Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Farming Quests

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players have found a way to exploit the game’s Story Creator Mode in order to earn cash and farm XP with minimal effort. Ubisoft has taken notice of this and has decided to put a stop to it by removing XP farming quests hiding them, and sanctioning violators. In a forum announcement, Ubisoft said, “These exploits risk jeopardising the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of Story Creator Mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published.”

Skulls of the Shogun Bone-A-Fide Edition Launches on Nintendo Switch

The Samurai-inspired turn-based strategy game kulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition has finally launched. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch. The game will take players to “the Samurai afterlife” as they join forces with “vibrant Ghost-Samurai warriors, magical animal-monks, and mustachioed Samurai Generals.” Players will take on the role of Japan’s mightiest Samurai General, the late great General Akamoto, as they journey through four regions of the afterlife.


Dual Universe Alpha Phase 2 Live Now

Novaquark has announced its second playable Alpha for its sci-fi civilization-building MMO Dual Universe. In a new trailer, Novaquark highlighted the new features Alpha 2 brings to the game. The second alpha will feature an enhanced in-game economy, including mass production, and barter system. It also introduces a character progression system through a Talent Tree that will allow players to develop their character as they learn new skills. More details are available in the game’s website.
