GTA Online Proves to be Popular 6 Years After Release

GTA Online remains to be one of the most popular games in the world today. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick revealed the past week that player spending in GTA Online has increased 23 percent. This could be attributed to the launch of the Diamond Casino & Resort update back in July which sparked record player engagement in its daily, weekly, and monthly active users in July and August 2019. Take-Two said they are expecting these numbers to increase by 2020.


Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Shifting Tides Officially Unveiled

Ubisoft has officially unveiled Rainbow Six Siege’s final season for Year 4, Operation Shifting Tides during the Pro League Finals in Tokoname, Japan. This latest season features two new Operators – Kali from India and Wamai from Kenya. It also features a reworked map which is an overhauled Theme Park. The new season also ushers discounts for Operators Hibana, Echo, Dokkaebi, Vigil, Zofia, Nomad and Kaid. There’s also a new limb penetration system. Datamine Suggests Clan Systems for PUBG on PC

A dataminer has spotted what could possibly be a Clan System coming to PUBG on PC in the game’s files. Dataminer PlayerIGN revealed that the Clan System will cost players 5,000 BP to set up, and Clan names will be limited to 2-15 characters. Tags are limited to 2-4 characters, and slogans are limited to 30 characters. It could also possibly have a 20-member limit, and could also be linked to the upcoming ranked mode. There’s also a separate section dedicated for resumes and recruits. We’re waiting for PUBG Corp to confirm or deny this, so stay tuned.


FPX are This Year’s League of Legends Worlds’ Champions

China’s FunPlus PhoeniX (or FPX) has defeated European team G2 Esports in the League of Legends World Championship finals held in Paris on November 10th. The team won 3-0, putting into rest G2’s desire to be the first Western team to win the Summoner’s Cup in eight years. FPX’s Gao “Tian” Tian-liang has been named as the MVP for this year. FPX is now 834,375 Dollars richer, plus they get to take home the series trophy.


Pillars of Eternity 3 Possibly Won’t Happen

There’s a huge chance Pillars of Eternity 3 won’t be happening. In a post on Tumblr, Obsidian design director Josh Sawyer revealed that Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire had low sales, and if they were to develop a third game, the studio has to “re-examine the entire format of the game.” He also added that deciding whether a third main game is possible is not up to him, and that Deadfire’s poor sales made it hard for the studio to move forward with the series.


Where Water Tastes Like Wine Coming to Consoles

Dim Bulb Games’ narrative adventure game Where the Water Tastes Like Wine will be heading to consoles on December 2nd. The game will specifically be made available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The console version will be the game’s definitive edition which contains all of its updates and fixes, including the Tall Tales Update that features 15 new vignettes. Where Water Tastes Like Wine is also available on PC.


Borderlands 3 Sets New Sales Record

Take-Two Interactive has revealed some numbers on Borderlands 3’s impressive sales. The company revealed that Borderlands 3 is the fastest-selling game in 2K’s history, and is the highest-selling PC game for the company. In its first week, the game sold over five million, 70% of which were sold digitally. Take-Two also confirmed that the game will also become available on Google Stadia. The game is currently on a 6-month exclusivity period on the Epic Games Store.


League of Legends World Championship Finals 2020 to be Held in China

Riot Games has revealed that the 2020 League of Legends World Championship Finals will be held in the Shanghai Stadium. The venue seats over 56,000 and was primarily used for Chinese Super League and international soccer matches. This will mark the first time the event returns to China since the finals back in 2017. Over 44,000 in Beijing’s national stadium went to watch the finals live. Riot Games is yet to announce locations for its group and playoff stages.


Riot’s True Damage Group Hits 1.5 Million Views on YouTube

League of Legends’ newest group, True Damage debuted their song, GIANTS back at the 2019 League of Legends World Championship finals in Paris on November 10th, and it’s not a surprise that the song’s YouTube views skyrocketed to over 1.6 million just seven hours since it launched. The song was featured during the opening ceremonies of the event where the voices behind Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo performed along with augmented-reality visuals on stage.


Divinity: Original Sin 2 Switch Gets Friend Invites and Free DLC

Larian Studios has announced the release of the latest Gift Bag: Order & Magic on all platforms of Divinity Original Sin 2. The studio has also rolled out the new Invite Friend feature on the game’s Nintendo Switch version. This new feature will allow players to play in co-op with another player. As for the new Gift Bag, Order & Magic adds new pet power, infusion spells on all summons, a combat randomizer, and more.


The Legend of Bum-Bo Launches November 12th

The Binding of Isaac prequel, The Legend of Bum-Bo is set for launch on November 12th. The game is turn-based and includes match-three elements. It features over 100 unique items, and players will be able to upgrade and modify each one. There are also over 80 trinkets that gives passive bonuses. The game comes with four playable characters, 10 bosses, and 30 different enemies. The game will launch on Steam.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Have Another Update for the 725 Shotgun

Activision will have another update for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare regarding the game’s 725 shotgun. The weapon mentioned had been the most controversial of them all because of how effective it is at a distance. The 725 is a break-action shotgun that has two rounds, it has a cylindrical choke that keeps the projectiles spread tight. Infinity Ward promises that whatever changes that they will be making will not take away the “soul” of the weapon, neither are there plans to remove it from the game.


Death Stranding Opens in Second Place as Biggest PS4 Exclusive Game for the Year

Death Stranding opens in the UK sales charts in second place just behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For the year, the game also sits in second place for the PlayStation exclusive games, right behind Days Gone. Days Gone opened with about one-third more of what Death Stranding did during launch week. Since Death Stranding entered the charts, it has pushed the Nintendo Switch exclusive game, Luigi’s Mansion 3 down to the fourth place and FIFA 20 still remains on the third spot unwavering.


Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Launch Date Revealed

Play as Bub and Bob in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends coming exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game first launched as an arcade title in the 1980s from developer Tatio and was remade by ININ Games. Players will take control of the two dragons who are able to blow bubbles to trap enemies or bounce onto higher platforms. The standard edition will launch on November 19, 2019, for Europe and Australasia and the special edition on December 13th. The North American launch is by the first quarter of 2020.


League of Legends Patch 9.23 Hits the PBE

Another round of League of Legends patch testing is now available in the PBE after patch 9.22 has gone live. The patch on the PBE right now is huge and it will come with the pre-season 2020: Rise of the Elements update for the game. There are rebalances and changes to Summoners, new balance changes for items and runes that will add new playstyles to the game. Some shiny new skins will also be available. Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite Launches on Steam Early Access

Multiplayer FPS Tip of the Spear: Task Force Elite will be launching on Steam Early Access on December 18th. The game offers an infantry-only tactical FPS action that can accommodate up to 50 players. It is also inspired by the classic FPS games from the 1990s up to the early 2000s. Enemies will not just randomly spawn on designated bases. Enjoy three game modes which are Team King of the Hill, Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch (Capture the Flag). The game is expected to be in early access for 11 months.


Orangeblood Delayed to Early 2020 Launch

Playism has announced that their upcoming game Orangeblood will be delayed. The game was planned to launch by this month, however, the publisher said that they would rather have an early 2020 launch date to “ensure that the final product is of the highest quality”. Playism had been working closely with developer Grayfax and both agree that the game still has some kinks to iron out before launch. Orangeblood will be available for PC via Steam sometime early 2020.


The Falconeer to Launch by 2020 for PC and Xbox One

Ocean world action RPG called the Falconeer by Wired Productions has been announced to be launching on the console Xbox One for the first time. The game combines classic aerial dogfighting mechanics plus acrobatic twists and turns as well as an awe-inspiring open environment, there is a vast bestiary of enemies to fight with as well. The game is set to debut during the X019 in London happening on November 14th up until the 16th. The game is set to launch for the PC and the Xbox One sometime next year.


Invictus Gaming Won the Dota Summit 11 Minor

The winners of the Dota Summit 11 Minor is Invictus Gaming. They were able to beat Chaos Esports Club with three wins in the grand finals. Those three straight games of wins had been a solid play. What’s a bit ironic is that Arif “MSS” Anwar of Chaos predicted that it will be a three-zero, but, it turned up to be in the favor of the other team. Invictus Gaming will then move on to the MDL Chengdu Major, where they are able to get more Dota Pro Circuit points and even increase their prize money.


Doctor Who: The Edge of Time Now Available

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time has launched for the PlayStation VR! The game comes with the mysterious predators called The Weeping Angels. They are able to move very quickly and silently when they are not being looked at, however, when you turn your eyes away, they will swiftly go in for the kill. This concept makes the game terrifying and exciting at the same time with the use of head movement on the VR. Everything on the game makes things feel authentic from the environment to the sound effects.


Wattam Launches for the PC and PS4 Next Month

Wattam an action video game from designer Keita Takahashi and developer’s Funomena, SIE Santa Monica Studio, and publisher’s Annapurna Interactive, Sony Interactive Entertainment, SIE Santa Monica Studio. The game according to Funomena is described to be “a game about the joys of friendship and discovery”. It offers a colorful world with a lot of wacky and carefree characters that players able to unlock. This whimsical world is launching for the PC and PS4 next month.


Romancing SaGa 3 Out Now

The RPG classic Romancing SaGa 3 is now available as announced by Square Enix. The game is available digitally for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. In order to celebrate this launch, the game is available at a 20% discount for the Nintendo Switch up until December 1st, 2019, and for all other platforms the sale will run up until December 4th, 2019. The game offers more epic adventures as well as new playable characters.
