Overwatch Winter Wonderland Showcases New Skin

Overwatch revealed the dates for its festive Winter Wonderland event and it runs until January 2nd. The event was announced via Twitter, and it teased a Rime Sigma skin with a frosty makeover. There’s no news on what the limited-time event will be this year, but it would be nice to have last year’s Yeti Hunt mode back where one player plays as Winston, and five players play as Mei.

Ashen Now Available on Steam After Epic Store Exclusivity Ends

Ashen has completed its Epic Games Store exclusivity and is now available on Steam and GOG. Another good news is that it is currently available at a discounted price on both sites. Its Nightstorm Isle DLC is also available at a discount. Ashen was one of the first games to have launched as an Epic Games Store limited-time exclusive alongside Supergiant Games’ Hades.

Vanquish and Bayonetta Getting Remasters

Sega has announced that it will be remastering PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta and Vanquish, and will be bringing them to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The remastered versions of the games will be sold together in the same box and will be bundled as “Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle”. Sega has announced the release date as February 18, 2020.

GOG’s Galaxy 2.0 Beta Now Open to Everyone

GOG has launched GOG Galaxy 2.0 open beta after months of being available only to those who were invited. The 2.0 launcher now works more than just a launcher, it now also supports game libraries, achievements, friend lists, and a lot more. Galaxy 2.0 also allows players to link their accounts with Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Epic Games Store, and Uplay. This is an optional launcher for GOG customers.

Yes, Your Grace Demo Available on Steam

Brave at Night has released a demo of Yes, Your Grace on Steam. The kingdom management sim’s first chapter is currently free on the platform. Yes, Your Grace lets players take the role of a royal who is tasked to listen to petitioners’ problems. It is up to the player to decide whether to help them, or conserve resources and use it for more important matters. The game is expected to fully launch in early 2020 for PC.

The Division 2 Gets Decked for Christmas in 6.1 Update

The Division 2’s title update 6.1 is rolling out this week and it is set to bring the Christmas content and Hardcore Mode beta as promised. The new in-game event, Situation: Snowball will be adding a festive mood to the game. The agent login screen will be decorated with a holiday theme, plus players will be receiving a Holiday Supplies pack that has three Standard Apparel keys, three equipment, and a Holiday hat. Fortnite Teases Special Announcement for TGA 2019

It looks like Epic Games is teasing a “special announcement” at The Game Awards 2019. Announced through a Tweet, the official Fortnite Twitter account posted: “Tune in Dec 12 at 8:30 PM ET to see if Fortnite takes home an award at #TheGameAwards. We’ll be making a special announcement during the show so don’t miss it.” Epic Games did not comment any further on what the special announcement will be, so tune in to The Game Awards to find out.

MLB The Show No Longer a Playstation Exclusive

MLB The Show’s Twitter account posted an announcement that MLB, the MLB Players Association, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and San Diego Studio have entered a partnership which will bring MLB The Show to other platforms. This means the game will no longer be a PlayStation exclusive game when it takes effect on 2021. MLB The Show 20 will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive when it launches as the partnership still has over a year to take effect.

Gears Esports Announces Two Majors

Gears Esports announced two Majors happening in the first half of 2020. Gears of War’s competitive calendar is split into four quarters which are Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. The Fall quarter has recently come to a close, and the Winter season will be concluded at the Mexico City Major at the World Trade Center Mexico City on March 6-8, 2020. The next one, the Texas Major, will be the Spring quarter and will be held at the Esports Stadium Arlington on May 8-10, 2020.

Activision Hosts COD Modern Warfare Streamer Invitational

250,000 dollars are up for grabs in Activision’s Call of Duty Streamer Invitational on Twitch. The tournament will be broadcasted live on the Call of Duty Twitch channel on December 11th at 4PM PST or 1AM CET. The event features 4 teams with 20 streamers which include LuluLuvely, AdmiralBahroo, Vader, and Stodeh. It’s not clear how the prize pool will be split up.

Killing Floor 2: yuletide Horror Brings New Boss and Weapons

Killing Floor 2’s next seasonal update has been revealed, and it’s called Yuletide Horror. The event introduces a new community map, Sanitarium, as well as a new objective map called the Biotics lab. There are also four new weapons — two are free and the other two are available for purchase. A tough new boss called The Matriarch will also be joining the game. Yuletide Horror goes live on Steam starting December 10th.

FF7 Remake Will Be a PS4 Timed Exclusive

Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s art confirms that the game will be a timed exclusive on the Playstation 4. The game will be exclusive until March 3, 2021. Whether it will be coming to Xbox One and PC still remains as a question. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be releasing in an episodic format, with the first part coming out March 3, 2020. Part two is currently being worked on.

Anno 1800 Will Be Free to Play Until December 18th

Anno 1800 has a free trial period as announced by Ubisoft. This is available right now up until the 18th of December. The free trial version will have the first three residential tiers in sandbox mode plus all the free game updates. The season pass content won’t be accessible with the free trial. The multiplayer and co-op will be available as well as the newly released content which is the day and night mode.

Sonic Robo Blast 2 Version 2.2 Available Now

Fan-made Sonic game called Sonic Robo Blast 2 now has a new version from Sonic Team Junior. This new version was announced via a new gameplay trailer for the game. Sonic Robo Blast 2 is actually a 3D open-source Sonic the Hedgehog fangame that was built using the Doom Legacy port of Doom but a modified version of it. The new update for the game 2.2 upgrades the complete game in all respects like support for sprite rotation and optimization for skybox rendering and more.

Battle Game Total Tank Simulator Coming to PC in 2020

Total Tank Simulator from 505 Games will be launching on Steam for PC next year but a demo is available right now for those of you who would want to try out the game. Total Tank Simulator is set in World War 2 and is a physics-based tactical game. It offers about 50 battle maps as well as hundreds of historical units and weapons. There are three main game modes which are the Sandbox Mode, Shadow Mode, and the Campaign Mode. You can choose from the six different playable factions per mode.

Conqueror’s Blade Wrath of the Nomads to Begin Next Week

The second season of Conqueror’s Blade is arriving next week and it is called Wrath of the Nomads. This new season comes with a lot of content including the unit line Sons of the Steppes, new maps, and new cosmetics that are nomadic-themed. There are also a host of new challenges and exclusive Battle Pass rewards. Conqueror’s Blade Season 2: Wrath of the Nomads will be launching on December 19, 2020.

Chicken Police- Paint it Red offers a story-rich adventure that is played with a visual style dialogue system having detective gameplay as well as an interrogation mechanic in an ever-changing city. Final Fantasy 14 Online Patch 5.15 Revealed

The Final Fantasy 14 Online patch 5.15 has been revealed by Square Enix and it comes with a lot of new stuff. Patch 5.15 has a new PvP Frontline called Onsal Hakair which has a new frontline map and ruleset teams. Rainbow Six Siege South African Servers Now Live

Ubisoft has fulfilled their promise of opening Rainbow Six Siege servers online in South Africa. The initial announcement for this came during the Sixth Invitational 2018 over a year ago. Right now the servers open are for the Xbox online and they are planning to open the PC and PlayStation 4 servers in the near future. As of this writing, there were no reported issues for the Xbox server launch.

Sisters Royale Announced for PS4 and Switch

Sisters Royale, a game from Chorus Worldwide and Alfa System is coming to the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. The game is a vertical scrolling shoot ’em up that reminds us a lot of the classic title ‘Castle of Shikigami’. The game first launched in Japan for the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Pre-orders are now available for the game, the Nintendo eShop will open its pre-orders on December 19th and the PlayStation Store on the 30th. Sisters Royale will launch on January 30, 2020.

The Surge 2 Jericho’s Legacy Pack Now Available

Hardcore action, RPG video game Surge 2 from Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive launched its Jericho Legacy Gear Pack for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This comes with three new gear sets that players are able to use. The three gear sets include the Beast Tank Buster which can be used to push back enemies, the Kyoko Hacker Suit which gives players extra range for horizontal attacks, and the Jericho Firetails Mascot for a block and attack playstyle. This is available with the season pass or by itself.
